I laughed and hugged them again. I was so looking forward to Friday night.

The following day, I drove into work, looking forward to seeing Virginia and telling her about dinner. When I arrived at my office, Virginia was already there, talking with Sue. When I walked up, Virginia and Sue both turned and smiled at me. I looked questioningly at Virginia, and she gave a slight shake of her head. I said, "Please come in, Virginia."

Virginia followed me into my office, closing the door after her. I put down my bag, turned, and pulled Virginia in for a kiss. Our lips met, and our arms went around each other. The world went away as her silky-soft lips met mine and drove all thoughts out of my head. After an eternity of intense pleasure, we broke our kiss, both of us breathing hard.

As we stood there catching our breath, I asked, "Okay, what was that out there?"

"I was recruiting Sue to help me set up a surprise for you," Virginia said, a big smile on her face.

"Oh?" I asked. "And just what are you scheming to do?"

"If I told you, it wouldn't be a secret," Virginia said. "Don't worry, it was just my passive-aggressive way of making sure Sue keeps our relationship a secret, by making her a part of the secret. I've done the same with Cathy."

"Okay," I replied, relieved. "Just know that eventually, I do want the whole world to know that I love you," I finished, pulling Virginia in for another mind-shattering kiss.

When we broke, gasping, Virginia looked at me with an intense look on her face as she said, "I've had to hide my sexuality for so long that it's become second nature to me. Please don't think that any hesitancy I display about showing my love for you in public as an indication that I don't care for you. It'll take me a while to get used to being more open about it."

"I'll understand," I promised to Virginia. "On another note, I talked to Mom last night, and she gave me the menu for dinner. She says you should bring a nice Riesling to go with dinner. We're having chicken cacciatore, cheese ravioletti with a pink sauce, Caesar salad, and her special cheesecake for dessert."

"That sounds delicious," Virginia said. "I'll make sure I get a Riesling. I'm really looking forward to this."

"Mom and Dad are really looking forward to meeting you," I said.

"I'm looking forward to meeting them, too," Virginia said. "Well, I better get back to my office."

With that, I walked Virginia out. As I watched Virginia walk away, I couldn't help but watch how her ass moved. Having held that ass in my hands, I couldn't help but feel some heat. I noticed Sue was smiling at me when I turned to her and asked, "Any changes to my schedule today?"

"Not today, Judy," Sue said. "You're still on to meet with Bob from 9 AM to noon."

"Thanks, Sue," I said, going back to my desk. As much as I was looking forward to Friday night, I still had a job to do

***

Friday found me nervous as a cat, and I kept pacing around as I waited for the girls to finish getting ready. Although it was informal, we all wanted to look nice without getting all dressed up. I decided to go with a floral sundress with flats with my hair down in curls. The girls wanted to dress in something complementary, so they wore similarly printed sundresses with flats.

Once we were ready, we headed over to my parent's house. We took Amy's car, and I let her drive because I was so nervous. When we got there, I didn't see Virginia's car there yet. We got out, and Mom met us at the door. She hugged us in turn as we went into the house. The girls split off to go into the living room with Dad, and I went into the kitchen with Mom.

The smells from the food were heavenly. Mom was an incredible cook, and I was thrilled that dinner was going to be great. I called the girls in to help set the table. The girls and I would sit on one side of the table, while Virginia and her boys would sit on the other side. Dad would sit at the head of the table, and Mom would sit opposite him. Finally, everything was set up, and the food was just about ready.

I heard the doorbell ring, and I had to restrain myself from dashing to the door and throwing it open. The girls weren't as restrained. However, Dad beat us all to the door and opened it. As I walked up, the girls were on each side of Dad. I heard Virginia say, "Good evening, Mr. Saginario. I'm Virginia, and this is Matthew, and this is Mark."

Dad said, "Please come in, Virginia. And please, call me Joe."

"Okay, Joe," Virginia said with a smile.

The girls were scoping out Matthew and Mark as I saw Virginia step in. She was wearing slacks and a button-up blouse, and she was in heels. Then I saw the boys in matching slacks and button-down shirts. Dad shook hands with Virginia before shaking hands with the boys.

I stepped up and hugged Virginia and said, "Welcome, Virginia. Thank you for coming." Then, feeling daring, I tilted my head down and kissed her upturned lips. She was initially startled by my action but quickly recovered and pressed back into the kiss. We didn't hold it long. I just wanted everyone to know I wasn't going to hide my feelings for Virginia. I noticed everyone's eyes grew big, but nobody said anything, and I wasn't going to worry about it.

I then greeted Matthew and Mark with a quick hug each before taking the wine bottle from Matthew. I stepped back to let Mom meet Virginia. She pulled Virginia into a hug before giving the boys each a quick hug.

Amy and Emily then each hugged Virginia before greeting Matthew and Mark. They were all smiling shyly at each other, and I could tell they weren't sure how to react to each other. I said, "Girls, please show Matthew and Mark to the living room."

Dad said, "I'll go keep the kids entertained," before he, too, headed into the living room.

Mom, Virginia, and I headed into the kitchen. I got the corkscrew out and opened the wine while Mom and Virginia chatted. It was one I hadn't tried before ‒ Bass Riesling from Bully Hill Vineyards, an excellent upstate New York wine. Once I had the wine opened, I joined Mom and Virginia. I put my arm around Virginia and side-hugged her while she finished talking to Mom. Mom smiled when she saw that before she said, "Okay, let's get the food on the table."

We bused the food out to the dinner table, and I poured the wine while Mom and Virginia positioned the food. Then we went into the living room. I saw that the girls were proudly showing off their trophies and medals to the boys while Dad looked on with a smile on his face. I could tell he was enjoying watching the interactions between them. He looked over at us when Mom said, "Dinner's ready."

We all trooped into the dining room, and Mom explained the seating arrangements to everyone. Matthew seated Virginia before taking his seat, and I saw that my parents approved of his actions. Dad looked at me and winked, and I knew then that he was totally on board with my relationship with Virginia. I was so thrilled that I nearly missed when Dad said, "Let us pray."

I quickly crossed myself and bowed my head while Dad prayed, crossed myself, and said, "Amen," when he finished. We then spent the next few minutes loading up our plates, everyone exclaiming how good the food looked and smelled. Dad tried the wine and said he approved of it. Virginia and I smiled at each other throughout the dinner. Our kids carried the conversation throughout dinner. Mom and Dad would chime in from time to time with a question to Virginia, and Virginia would take the time to answer completely, asking me to pitch in from time to time. By the time dinner was done, it was apparent my parents were utterly smitten with Virginia and her two boys.

Finally, dinner was over. We were all stuffed since Mom always makes way more food than necessary. Mom, Dad, Virginia, and I went into the living room, and Virginia and I sat on the couch while Mom and Dad sat in the armchairs. At the same time, Amy took charge and directed the cleaning up of the dinner table. I took Virginia's hand in mine, and we smiled at each other.

We talked for a few minutes while the clatter of dishes and voices of the kids came out from the kitchen and dining room. Mom and Dad both agreed that the boys were perfect gentlemen. I knew that was important to them because they were always of the opinion you can tell a lot about a parent from how their children acted. Virginia was pleased, and she just beamed from the praise my parents heaped on her.

Mom and Dad peppered Virginia with questions about her life and several careers. When she was asked about her parents, Virginia got a sad look on her face. She explained that her mother, also named Virginia, had her when she was nearly forty years old. Her father, Wayne, was almost forty-eight years old at the time, and neither of them was expecting this since they had tried for years to have children but had been unsuccessful.

While unexpected, they both loved her and doted on her. Unfortunately, her father died when she was fourteen years old. He was an engineer on the Central Railroad of New Jersey (CNJ) and was killed when a railroad track signal failed, and his train rear-ended a stopped train. Her mom was devastated by that and never recovered, withdrawing from life in general. She died seven years later while Virginia was a junior in college.

Virginia stopped and looked down. I squeezed her hand while Mom jumped up and came over and pulled Virginia into a hug. "Oh, sweetie, that's so sad," she said before letting Virginia go.

Virginia couldn't help but smile and said, "Thanks, Betty. I really appreciate that."

Mom sat back down, and then Dad said, "Virginia, you've done an incredible job taking all of that in stride and not letting it get you down." He smiled at Virginia in approval.

Virginia turned to him and said, "Thanks, Joe. That means a lot to me."

As Virginia finished, Amy came into the living room to tell us everything was cleaned up. Matthew and Mark were going to sit around the dining room table with her and Emily and talk.

I smiled and said, "That's fine, sweetie."

Amy left, and we went back to talking. We started talking about current events, discussing the O. J. Simpson trial, and whether or not there'll be more riots like there were after the Rodney King trial. While there hadn't been any riots in Manhattan Beach, some riots had occurred in Hawthorne. Virginia told us the riots had come close to where Grace and Kathy lived at the time. We talked about the Northridge earthquake that occurred just about a year ago.

Eventually, the conversation started to taper off. That's when Mom declared it was time for dessert. Mom and I got up and headed out to the kitchen, leaving Virginia with Dad. As we went by the dining room, I looked in and saw the girls talking animatedly with the boys. I smiled, noting they seemed to be getting along just fine.

As we entered the kitchen, I asked, "So, Mom, where did you hide the cheesecake?"

"In the back of the refrigerator, dear," she said as she went to the refrigerator.

I went to the cupboard and pulled out the dessert plates while Mom pulled out the cheesecake. We spent a minute or two cutting and plating the cheesecake. Mom and I then took our cheesecakes with us, and as we passed the dining room, I called in, "There's cheesecake for you in the kitchen."

When we entered the living room, I heard Virginia talking about configuration management with Dad. I could tell they were enjoying their conversation. They both looked up when we came in, and Mom said, "Time for cheesecake."

I sat down with Virginia and handed her a plate while Mom gave Dad a plate before she sat down.

"Where did you hide this?" Dad asked as he forked a bite into his mouth, a pleased look on his face.

I took a bite and watched Virginia taste it. She smiled and said, "Betty, this is the best cheesecake I've ever had."

I chimed in with my agreement, and Mom practically glowed with happiness at the praise. There was an absence of conversation while we all finished up the cheesecake. We talked a little longer before Virginia stated it was getting late and it was time to head home.

With that, we all got up and headed into the kitchen. We picked up the kids on the way, and we all ended up in the kitchen. We started saying our goodbyes to Virginia and her boys. Virginia hugged Mom before hugging Dad. Then she hugged my girls, complimenting them on their outfits and thanking them for entertaining Matthew and Mark. Then she came up to me, hugged me, and kissed me before saying, "Thank you, Judy. We had a great time tonight."

The girls hugged the boys, and the boys both shook hands with Dad. Mom made it easy for them and pulled them both in for a hug, saying what handsome gentlemen they were. With that, we headed out the front door, Mom and Dad standing in the doorway, to watch Virginia and her boys leave. With a sigh, I turned and shooed the girls back inside. My cheeks started hurting because I was smiling so widely as I stepped inside.

I told the girls to go get ready to leave while I turned to Dad and asked, "What do you think?"

"I approve of her, angel. I totally understand why you love her," he said, pulling me in for a hug.

I teared up as I returned his hug and said, "Thank you, Dad. That means so much to me."

I turned to Mom, and she hugged me and said, "She's a wonderful person. I can see how you could fall in love with her. Her boys are just adorable, too."

"Thanks, Mom," I said, returning her hug. "Virginia makes me so happy. I didn't think I'd ever find somebody to take Jon's place, but now I have."

The girls came up, ready to go, so we headed out to get in Amy's car and drive home. Mom and Dad watched us leave, and I saw them standing there with their arms around each other. I teared up again, so glad I have parents who are still in love with each other. I felt sorry for Virginia, losing her parents so early in her life, and how lonely she must have been.

As we went home, the girls told me about Matthew and Mark and how adorable they both were. I just sat back and listened to them going on, smiling, as Amy drove us home. When we got home, I reminded the girls they had to get up in the morning for practice before their match on Tuesday. They were still wound up, so we ended up on the couch watching TV until the local news came on at 10PM. I shooed them off to their rooms and locked up the house before I went to my bedroom.

As I prepared for bed, I couldn't help but think about Virginia and how she lost her parents early in her life. I felt so lucky to have my parents to lean on when I needed them. Virginia did have Bonnie's mother, Grace, to lean on, but it's still not the same. I was so glad my parents accepted Virginia, and I know she'll just love having them to lean on too. I went to bed and, after jilling myself off, fell asleep. I dreamed of Jon again. He took me in his arms and said, "I'm so happy for you, Judy." Then he kissed me and turned away as Virginia came up and took me in her arms. My dreams were erotic, and I woke with damp panties.

After a shower where I jilled myself off a couple of times, I went downstairs and prepared a big breakfast for the girls. They came running down and scarfed down their breakfast so fast I thought they had performed a magic trick. "God, to be young like that," I thought to myself as they devoured enough food for four people.

Before they left, Amy asked, "Mom, would you ask Virginia if she'd like to come to our meet Tuesday night?"

I smiled and said, "Yes, I'll ask her the first chance I get."

Emily said, "Great! Thanks, Mom!" She came up and hugged me. "I just love Virginia, Mom. I'm so glad you found her."

"Me, too, sweetie," I said, so happy I started tearing up.

Amy came up and hugged me as she said, "Yeah, Mom. Virginia is just adorable. Her boys are cute, too," she finished with a giggle.

"Thank you, baby," I said, hugging Amy back.

Once they were gone, I cleaned up and started doing some housework. I got the laundry done and swept the floors before taking a break. I decided to call Virginia, using Amy's request as an excuse.

After three rings, I heard, "Hello?"

Recognizing Matthew's voice, I said, "Hello Matthew, this is Judy. Could I talk to your mother?"

"Of course, Judy. One moment please," he said before putting the receiver down and hollering, "Mom, it's for you!"

Within moments, Virginia was on the line, saying, "Hello?"

"Hello Virginia," I said with a chuckle.

"Hello, Judy. It's good to hear your voice. What's up?" Virginia said.

"The girls wanted me to ask you if you'd like to attend their swim meet this coming Tuesday?" I asked.

"Oh?" Virginia said. "You didn't just call to profess your undying love for me?" I could hear her smile over the line.

"Well, although that's a given, I will say it as often as I can. I love you," I said, putting as much sincerity in my voice as I could.

"I love you, too," Virginia answered. "And, yes, I'd love to go see Amy and Emily swim on Tuesday."

"Great!" I said. "They'll just be thrilled to death. They both think the world of you. I do, too."

"Well, Matthew and Mark won't stop talking about you, Amy, and Emily, either," Virginia said.

"My girls were all 'Matthew this,' and 'Mark that,' last night and this morning," I said, chuckling at the memories.

"Well, Matthew is heading back to college tomorrow," Virginia said.

"Oh, well, tell him I'll miss him," I said, thinking about what a nice man he was growing into.

"I will," said Virginia. "Tell Amy and Emily that I'm looking forward to seeing them swim on Tuesday."

"Okay," I said. "I'll see you Monday. I love you, Virginia."

"Yes, I'll see you Monday," Virginia said. "I love you, too, Judy."

Mission accomplished, I finished up cleaning the house in time to fix lunch for the girls. They were going to be thrilled when I told them about Virginia.

***

We both left work early Tuesday so we could get ready to attend the swim match. Virginia was going to meet up at my place, and we'd both go over together to the school. I dressed down, wearing jeans and a polo shirt, and low-rise sneakers. When Virginia arrived, I saw she had dressed similarly.

When Virginia came in, I pulled her into a hug, and our lips met. I moaned at the feel of her silky-soft lips against mine, and Virginia moaned in reply. Our bodies molded together as our kiss deepened, our tongues ravaging each other's mouths. My hands drifted down and cupped her jean-clad ass. I lifted her up, and her legs wrapped around my hips, and her arms went around my neck as we continued our kiss. Finally, we broke our kiss to gasp in some air. I stood there with Virginia wrapped around me and wished we didn't have to go.

Our eyes locked, and all I could see was Virginia's beautiful face in my field of view. Her eyes were dilated to nearly black. My heart clenched, thinking how beautiful she was. "Hello, Virginia," I said while almost tearing up from the emotions going through my head.

Virginia smiled and said, "Hello, Judy. Are you glad to see me?"

I smiled back and said, "Maybe, just a little bit. Are you ready to go?"

"Do you think they'll mind us being like this?" Virginia snarked.

"Probably," I said as I reluctantly set Virginia down.

We got in my car, and we headed over to the school. I held Virginia's hand the whole way there, not wanting to be separated from her any more than necessary. Once we got to the pool at school, we walked into the venue. We checked in at the desk and paid for our tickets. We walked out to where the pool was and found a couple of seats. There usually weren't many spectators at these events, but there were enough to cause a dull roar of conversations. Since this was a three-team meet, there were more spectators than usual.

We could see some of the swimmers were in the pool doing some warm-up laps. I saw Amy was in the water, and Emily was just walking out of the locker rooms. Emily saw us and waved at us, a big smile on her face. She must have called to Amy because she looked up and waved to us from the pool. We waved back before we sat down. Without even being conscious of it, our hands found each other, and our fingers intertwined as we waited for the events to start. Virginia had questions I answered as best as possible since I've been taking them swimming and watching them since they were eight years old.
