Creative was a word for it, but in truth Dream Chuck was just a dirty little fucker; part of her was quietly concerned at how often she was having sex dreams lately, but then again, she hadn't gotten any in what felt like ages. Her lack of quality time was becoming more obvious and the near constant sex dreams was doing nothing but make it worse. Couple that with the week the team had had and everything was just kind of piling up around them.

Sarah shook her head to get her mind back in the present and exited her car; in mere moments she'd jogged into the courtyard and knocked on Casey's front door. It was a few seconds before the door opened to Casey's stoic face.

"What took you so long?" Casey asked gruffly, Sarah simply eyed the Major.

"My hair was still in curlers," Sarah said sarcastically as she pushed Casey out of the way and entered his apartment; Casey simply grumbled as he closed the door and locked it behind her. As Sarah's eyes met Chuck's she couldn't help but give him a bright smile, he stood up with a cup of coffee in his hand, but his smile seemed forced, like it was for everyone else's benefit and wasn't an accurate reflection of how he actually felt. She couldn't blame him though, he'd had a rough five days, which was partly her fault.

"Morning Sarah," Chuck said as he offered her the coffee, which she accepted gratefully with a nod of her head.

"Hey Chuck, did you flash during the night or something?" Sarah asked before she took a sip of the aforementioned coffee; of course Chuck had made her coffee perfectly, it was like he had an encyclopedia of her likes and dislikes. That didn't surprise Sarah at all though, Chuck had made it his mission to get to know her.

"No, I had a pretty quiet night," Chuck said mutedly, Sarah wanted to ask Chuck if he wanted to talk about whatever was bothering him, but she didn't have time to ask as Casey interjected.

"Whatever is going on has nothing to do with us," Casey said before he went to his computer and started the conference call. Sarah quickly set her coffee cup down on the table and stood at attention like Casey. The screen lit up and General Beckman appeared, looking rather grumpy this particular morning.

"Good morning, team," General Beckman began.

"General," The three members of Team Intersect replied.

"Before we begin, I need to inform you all that Langston Graham will not be joining us for this morning or any other morning going forward." Chuck, Sarah, and Casey all exchanged a brief look as the General continued. "As you all may have heard in the news, a batch of classified documents was leaked to the press last night. Among the leaks was a file containing documentation of Langston Graham's recruiting practices during his tenure with the CIA." Sarah's heart skipped a beat as she heard that; she still remembered her recruitment and how illegal it was in hindsight.

"The names of his recruits were kept secret, but his propensity to find underage men and women in legal trouble and recruit them under duress was revealed to the public. The Senate Intelligence Committee is holding a hearing on the matter this afternoon, which I have to attend. What this means going forward is that the Intersect Project and all personnel will be folded into the NSA's jurisdiction to avoid bringing a new director into the mix." That caught everyone's attention.

"Sorry for interrupting, but what about me General, I'm an intelligence officer of the CIA?" Sarah asked in confusion, General Beckman simply nodded.

"No worry's Agent Walker, I anticipated your question; going forward you've been transferred to the NSA and will serve alongside Major Casey. Upon review it would seem that Langston slowed or outright kept you from being promoted to Special Agent at least four separate times," General Beckman said much to Sarah's anger.

"I knew it, that rat bastard," Sarah grumbled under her breath; Chuck raised his hand obviously confused.

"What's so special about Special Agents?" Casey stepped forward before General Beckman or Sarah could reply.

"A CIA Special Agent gains significant latitude in deciding which assignments they take or don't take. For example, in the Lon Kirk mission Sarah was ordered to seduce Lon Kirk; a Special Agent could have told Graham to shove that order up his..." General Beckman cleared her throat and Casey stopped. "She could have told Director Graham that she wasn't going to do seduction missions anymore. On top of this, Special Agents are given significant latitude in deciding how to accomplish mission objectives and usually act more as team leaders then as normal agents." Casey finished before turning back to the screen and General Beckman who nodded to Casey thankfully.

"Why would he stop Sarah from being promoted?" Chuck asked, which was the logical next question; Sarah spoke with a quiet rage in her voice.

"That way he could control me. I was Graham's fixer; I had to do whatever dirty, lowdown thing he wanted me to do. If I was a Special Agent, I would be more like Casey and less like Carina." Chuck nodded in understanding and General Beckman started again.

"Well said Agent Walker; because of the changes I mentioned, you will officially become a member of the NSA Special Forces Division, much like Major Casey. Furthermore, in recognition of your exemplary service for this nation, you've been awarded the rank of Captain. In recognition of your work with this team Major Casey, you have been promoted to Lieutenant Colonel, Congratulations Captain, Lt. Colonel." Sarah nodded to the General in shock as Casey snapped to attention.

"Thank you General," Casey and Sarah both said in unison; Chuck had a proud smile on his face as the General pivoted the meeting.

"With this scandal, I've made the decision to put the team on non-disciplinary suspension for the next two weeks." General Beckman said, making Casey groan. "Maintain your covers and look at this as a short break before the fight against Fulcrum renews in earnest next week." The three members of Team Intersect nodded and watched as General Beckman ended the call; as soon as the call ended, Sarah and Casey turned to each other.

"Congratulations Lt. Colonel," Sarah said with a small smile as she extended her hand towards Casey who shook it with a thankful grunt.

"Congratulations Captain, you deserved this," Casey said with a stoic look on his face that Sarah knew was a defense mechanism anytime he had to express real emotion. Sarah nodded to Casey and watched him turn to get his things together. When Sarah saw Chuck, she saw the pride on his face and a real smile for the first time in days, it all made her heart flutter.

"Congratulations Captain Walker," Chuck said with a proud smile that seemed to brighten the room.

"Thank you Chuck, it's very surreal; this morning I was in the CIA and now I'm in the NSA." Chuck simply nodded to Sarah before the faint melodies of Sade's "No Ordinary Love" and very distinctive moans began to fill the room. Casey stood up straight and groaned.

"Not again with those two, that's the third time this week," Sarah turned her head and listened to the sounds that were suddenly filling Casey's living room. Feminine moans, moans of pleasure, Ellie's moans of pleasure! Ellie was in her bedroom on her day off, enjoying some quality time with her strapping stud of a boyfriend. Obviously the two doctors were rather loud if they could be heard all the way in Casey's apartment, then again the walls were thin in these old apartments. Eleanor Bartowski was in there on her back with her legs up in the air, while her stud buried his throbbing cock deep in her quivering center. Her legs were wrapped around him, keeping him buried inside her where he belonged, where his cock couldn't escape without first surrendering its burning hot load.

His cock was pistoning in and out of Ellie's center like a vicious jackhammer, battering her with brutal thrusts, deep inside her tender depths. Deep, soul satisfying thrusts that left her shuddering, so perfectly sated; if only Sarah could get some of that. Get herself some quality time like that, with a hung stud like Devon. She'd be able to take it, all of it, deep inside of her, filling her up with hot, thick, man cream.

"Sarah..." Came Chuck's voice, snapping her from her less than pure thoughts.

"Hmm?" Sarah answered as she looked over at Chuck; apparently, he'd said something, but she'd missed it in her lusty fantasies. She saw his blushed cheeks and could only assume his blush was due in large part to the sounds coming from the other side of the wall, she would've thought he'd be bolting for the door to get away from the sounds of his sister, but he didn't seem to be too fazed by it.

"I said, we should go out and celebrate your promotion," Sarah's mind froze up in mild panic, the cameras were always watching, she wanted to go out on a date with Chuck more than anything, but she couldn't give General Beckman any reason to suspect she was compromised, she couldn't lose this place! Sarah couldn't lose this place and these people, she had to deflect, but how?

"Sarah?" Chuck said once again, grabbing Sarah's attention; in a rash move, Sarah gave Chuck a quizzical look at the suggestion and said the first thing that came into her head.

"Why would we do that?" Chuck looked visibly hurt by that and a little bit confused; she'd messed this whole thing up, she knew that, but the cameras had seen and heard her so she was committed now.

"You just got a major promotion, recognition for your service that is long overdue, if Beckman's briefing was any indication. I just thought it'd be nice to celebrate together, maybe head back to La Cantina like our first date." Chuck said meekly to the stone-faced Captain Walker, who simply shook her head as even more moans filled the room.

"I'm sorry, but I don't think we should do anything like that outside the boundaries of our cover, it could be risky," Sarah said flatly, like it was the simplest answer she'd ever had to give; Chuck swallowed as one does after an embarrassing rejection and simply nodded.

"Right, right, the cover; wouldn't want to hurt the cover," Chuck said quietly before the impassioned cries of Ellie Bartowski once again filled the room, causing Chuck to blush brilliantly. In the back of Sarah's mind, she knew she'd not just fucked up royally, she'd just hurt him badly, embarrassed him. Sarah could have been gentler about this, but she'd been distracted and panicked before she'd said the first thing that came into her head, like a heartless bitch. After the week they'd had, this was the last thing they needed, and yet she'd been a bitch about it. The god damn cameras were always watching, so she had to be on her guard, but even still, she could have been nicer about it.

"Oh god Devon, oh god Baby, right there, beat that pussy up!" Ellie's voice said through the wall. Sarah's cheeks flushed as she was suddenly reminded once again of just how little quality time she was getting in the face of how often, literally everyone else was getting their quality time.

Chuck saw Sarah's flushed cheeks and absent stare; her mind was once again off somewhere else as Ellie's cries filled the room. Casey had by now disappeared upstairs to his bedroom to no doubt finish starting his day. Sarah's mind couldn't help but wander off to thoughts of Ellie Bartowski, the de facto matron of the Bartowski household, getting plowed by a hung stud. The predominant feeling in Sarah's brain was jealousy, why couldn't she be the one getting plowed by a young stud?

"Sarah?" Chuck called once again; Sarah looked over at Chuck with an annoyed look on her face.

"Yes?"

"We talked about carpooling today, Casey's got that thing for his foot this afternoon," Chuck said, reminding Sarah of the promise and plans she'd made the day prior; fuck, now she'd have to ride to work with the man she'd just finished rejecting, this was going to be so awkward.

"Right," Sarah said as she looked away in hopes of centering herself before she made this morning any worse than it already was. As it stood at the moment, this morning was shaping up to be a spectacular failure, if things didn't turn around in a big way. She'd managed to have sex fantasies about Chuck AND his sister, the latter of which she'd done while Chuck was in the damn room with her. Then she'd harshly rejected him after he'd asked her out to simply celebrate her promotion, which was seemingly harmless. She hadn't even gotten to her shitty job at the Wienerlicious and her day was already trending in a bad direction.

"My goddamn foot is fine, I don't know why I need to go do this," Casey grumbled angrily as he walked into the room once again, he had the slightest hint of a limp from his left ankle.

"It may not be an issue now, but it will be if you twist it one more time in the field," Chuck said honestly, Casey knew Chuck was right, but that didn't mean he liked it. Casey simply grumbled to himself about being soft and went to sit down in his chair.

"Fuck Baby, you're gonna make me cum so hard," came Ellie's voice through the wall, much to Sarah's frustration. Sarah simply growled to herself angrily and spun on her heels towards the door.

"Just grab your shit and meet me at my Porsche," Sarah grumbled as she stormed out of Casey's apartment in a huff. "Can't get any quality time on this damn assignment." Chuck could have sworn that he heard Sarah say something else, but he couldn't be sure.

"Wonder what's got her so wound up?" Chuck mumbled more to himself, Casey simply pulled the foot rest out and opened up his newspaper.

"Moron."

Chapter Three:

Chuck's Terrible, Awful, No Good, Very Bad Week

The drive from Echo Park to the Large Mart Plaza was a silent one, neither Chuck, nor Sarah were all that interested in talking, albeit for different reasons. Chuck wasn't interested in getting rejected again today, she'd been rather blunt about it at Casey's apartment. After Bryce's surprise visit earlier in the week, and then her rejection this morning, Chuck was even more convinced of his decision to make a very specific call later this afternoon. He hadn't made the call in a long time, but given everything that was happening in his life, he needed a night, just one single night.

Bryce had dropped in unannounced, earlier in the week for a mission, he'd needed their help stopping a bomb threat at the Twentieth Annual Los Angelis International Defense Summit, which was held every year at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills. Chuck had expected that Bryce needed the help of the Intersect, but that was not to the case. Bryce made it very clear from the outset that he needed a female agent he could trust, to help him go under cover at the summit. Beckman and Graham saw the urgency of the mission and quickly whored Sarah out to Bryce Fucking Larkin like a cheap hooker. Days for Chuck, were spent behind a computer, down in the future base of operations for Team Intersect, that was going to be codenamed Castle; though it was still under considerable construction at the moment.

All Chuck did all day while Bryce and Sarah were actively out and about, was watch camera feeds from the hotel with Casey; while Bryce and Sarah mingled throughout the hotel, it was just a continual stream of tedium and boredom for Chuck and Casey. Chuck would give advice and information to Bryce and Sarah; Sarah would usually take his feedback and thank him, Bryce would usually disagree or subtly belittle him by telling Chuck to leave the spying to the real agents. Chuck could see that it was getting on Casey's nerves listening to Bryce's shots at Chuck, but Sarah never said a thing, nothing at all, radio silence from Team Intersect's CIA Agent turned NSA Captain.

Eventually after three days and nights at the Waldorf as the Andersons, Bryce and Sarah determined that the threat was a complete bust and a waste of fucking time; the summit concluded without a problem, and Sarah returned to her previous duties with Team Intersect. Down in Castle after the mission had concluded, the debrief was ice cold between Sarah, Chuck, Casey, and Bryce. Sarah was distant towards everyone during the debrief before she left to go start her Wienerlicious shift. The Wienerlicious was going to be closed and converted into a government owned and operated front for Sarah to work in, but that work hadn't started yet, so the only way in and out of Castle was through the emergency access tunnel behind the Large Mart. Casey left the debrief without a word not long after Sarah had and left for work at the Buy More. With his handlers now gone, Chuck was left alone with Bryce. Chuck stood from his seat to leave when he heard Bryce's voice.

"Chuck," The Nerd Herd Supervisor stopped and turned to face Bryce with a flat expression on his face. Chuck waited for his former roommate to speak as he himself spoke in a disinterested voice.

"What is it?" Bryce was obviously taken aback by Chuck's coldness, but he hid his shock quickly.

"You did good these last couple days; for someone without training, you're good at this whole spy thing," Bryce said with a quiet chuckle, Chuck simply huffed in frustration and shook his head; after everything that Bryce had said to him all week, he was complimenting him? It wasn't even really a compliment, it was another insult, a passive-aggressive slap in the face masquerading as a compliment.

"I think I'm just going to let the real spies handle it Bryce," Chuck said before he turned and left to go start his crappy shift at the Buy More. Bryce simply stood there silently before he looked down at his hands and nodded to himself. The sound of the door opening and closing signaled that Bryce was alone, like always.

That had been two days ago, since then things had gotten close to normal for Team Intersect, but things were still rather icy between Sarah and himself. He'd thought they were in a good place, but after her rejection this morning, he just didn't know anymore.

For Sarah, the last week had been an exercise in frustration, her asshole ex-boyfriend had showed up out of freaking nowhere and suddenly she was his partner again until his mission was complete. The way her bosses had talked to Larkin about it made her feel cheap, like a tool, like her only value was how she could assist him, how she could service him today. Bryce needed arm candy, but said arm candy needed to be arm candy he could trust, arm candy that wouldn't let him down in a fight, but arm candy nonetheless. Bryce needed a set of tits that could shoot a gun and not get him killed; apparently Sarah Walker was his first choice in that department, as degrading and insulting as it was.

Couple that with the way her ex had treated her new team and Sarah had been in a sour mood all damn week. Relegating a fantastic agent like John Casey to the sidelines because Bryce was glory hunting was inexcusable. That wasn't even mentioning Bryce's treatment of Chuck, which was downright outrageous. Chuck was a trusted member of the team, he wasn't just a computer that you plug into the wall, to use whenever you want. Bryce would choose when to take Chuck's intel; Chuck was the fucking intersect, his intel was always accurate. That wasn't even to mention the near constant putdowns that Bryce would send Chuck's way when Sarah couldn't do anything to correct him.

She was out in the field, where people were watching, so she couldn't be getting after her supposed husband for his putdowns of the man in his ear and Bryce knew it. Sarah knew that Bryce felt threatened by Chuck, but that wasn't an excuse to insult him and hurt his newly growing confidence. The worst of it was having to fawn all over Bryce like a brainless newlywed, it made Sarah feel cheap, it made her want to vomit. The times by the pool where he'd put sun screen on her back made her skin crawl; she wanted Chuck's hands on her, not Bryce's slimy fingers! It had only been the first day, but his proposal to share the bed on the first night was the last damn straw for Sarah, she'd rather sleep naked, in an Iraqi prison, then share a bed with Bryce Larkin ever again. She'd slept on the damn couch for three days instead. Her rejection of his advances that first night had set the tone for things from there, the putdowns had intensified, his blatant efforts to get under her skin had intensified. Sarah didn't know what Bryce's problem was, but if she never had to work with him again, it would be too fucking soon.
