"Fair enough I guess well if you change your minds you know who I am, you can find me in the mayor's office which is right over there, as for your accommodations we'll sort you out something it's not exactly going to be a first class luxury as space is kinda at a premium around here but don't worry we'll get something sorted out for you," Remus said and with that, he was gone with his little entourage in tow.

"Well then I guess you're in, fuck I've never seen Remus backpedal his ass so quickly in all the time I've known him, normally he's an insufferable pompous ass and ever since he got his fucking foot in the door in the mayor's office he's become even worse but then I suppose when your up against a telekinetic guy in fucking power armour, two super mutants, a giant spider guy, a Nightstalker and two fucking Deathclaws it's in your best interest to shut the fuck up and walk away" Faith said watching them go as they vanished into a large display that had been converted into the mayor's office with large wooden boards and signs hanging off it to make it easier to identify and also to make it look flashy by today's standards.

Less than two minutes had gone by since he'd vanished back into his bolt hole when one of Remus's minions came scurrying up looking rather nervous to be approaching the group, she was surprisingly young-looking to Seven's eye the girl appeared to be no older than sixteen.

"Umm hello are you the one called Seven?' she asked looking up at him.

"I am who may you be if I may ask?" he replied.

"I'm Lily, mayor Jackson told me to take you up to the inn where a suite for your team has been arranged," she said sweeping with her arm for them to follow her.

"Very well lead on please," Seven said.

"You guys go turn in and I'll stick with these guys for the time being," Faith said to Markus and the other and they nodded and headed off with a wave while Faith fell in step with Seven and his team.

Seven was curious as to why she decided to stick with them but he didn't say anything and let her tag along as they walked through the marble concourse, the place was amazing in its own right despite what the Ghouls had done with the place.

There were statues from civilizations all around the world depicting the large variety of the depictions of the Goddesses and God's of death, everything from Celtic to Native American spirits in fact Runs stopped to look at it.

"What issss it my love?" Riss asked noticing her husband stop and look at the mural piece that was sat on a plinth.

"It is Kaiau the one who is lost, to I's tribe the spirit of death is great bear who walks the lands to take the spirits of the lost to the spirit realm where they will meet the great Nightstalker, she will read their spirit and send them where they are meant to be, if they's is good she will take them to the forest of wonders, if not she will takes them to the dark place where they must sits and see their crimes over and over again till it is all they are a broken spirit" he explained.

"SSSSo thatssss why you thought I wassss a sssspirit when you firsssst met me," Riss said and Run gave her a warm smile.

"Oh I's still thinks you's is a spirit, you's takes me to heaven every night we's gets alone," he said and Riss roared with laughter and gave him a happy flick of her tongue.

"It sssseemsss that my hussssband issss a ssssweet talker and for your information you take me to heaven asss well my love, we go there together," she said flicking her tongue at him happily.

Faith watched this little exchange between the husband and wife with an amazing look on her face before she turned to Seven, "Wow you guys really are open about this kind of stuff ain't you?" she said and Seven cocked his head.

"Any reason we shouldn't be?" he replied and she baulked slightly.

"Oh please don't misunderstand, I'm not judging here or anything like that I'm just trying to understand how you guys are so open when I'm sure you are aware that the vast majority of society as a whole is going to reject your life choices and are going to most likely aggressively reject it and you, how do you live with that?" she asked and Seven nodded.

"Well first of all thank you for being not only respectful but also honest in your question it is good to see, but let me put it to you like this, you are a Ghoul now say you fell in love with a human male, say me, for example, say I was single and not mated to this incredible woman next to me and you made a play for me and I accepted it and we were together, would you want me to hide it? Would you not want me to be proud to stand at your side and to proclaim to the world that I am yours and will stand for you no matter what?" he said.

Faith seemed to contemplate this scratching the dark skin on her chin thoughtfully, "Well yeah I guess I mean it would be kinda hard to see something like that happening smooth sk.......err I mean humans generally don't look too fondly on Ghouls with most of your kind seeing us all ferals, mindless and brainless zombies who attack everyone and anything they see on sight when Ghouls like us are just trying to make our way in the world just like everyone else" she said.

"Exactly! And that's what we promote both through our actions and our very beings, it started out as we were just a group of survivors thrown together in our bit to escape enslavement and torture, but as we went along and our numbers started to grow we kinda just changed our perspective, we decided to say fuck it, why the hell should we care what others think about us, we are not here for people's entertainment, we are just people trying to live the best lives we can, we are just trying to live free and to live the best lives we can while showing others that there is indeed another way of life that they might not have ever truly considered before" he said.

"What do you mean when you say a different way of life?" Faith asked curiously.

"Well first thing look at everyone in my group, every single person here is a sentient being just like you, they are a feeling, thinking, logical and emotional beings, just because they look different does that mean they should be treated differently or be chased away from human society when they have no aggression towards humans?" he asked.

"Fuck that's something I know only too well and the answer is a fucking flat no" Faith said and Seven pointed at her.

"Exactly and that's what we are trying to show just by being ourselves while at the same time helping out average people whoever they may be along our journey so that through our example people can simply see the truth," Seven said.

"What truth?" Faith asked.

"That honestly it doesn't matter what people looks like, if we simply give each other a chance there is truly nothing we cannot accomplish, it could free you to live and love freely free of judgement because who knows you might find the perfect open-minded human or in mine and Gregory's cases in the arms of a huge human loving beautiful claw and trust me I may have a biased opinion here but there ain't no love on this planet like claw love," Seven said with a chuckle so that the others in his group knew that he was joking but that didn't stop Visa stepping up and wrapping said huge arms around his metal chest and purring in his helmet covered ear.

"Got that right beautiful human" she purred.

"Damn straight or in my case not so straight I guess," Ven said plucking Gregory off the floor and snuggling him.

"Wow, I gotta be honest it is kinda hard to imagine how two beings so different can look at each other that way let alone fit together in that way," Faith said quietly and Seven guessed it was more a question to her own mind rather than a directed one at them but Wisp answered it anyway.

"The answer is perfectly, the differences are actually a bonus when you think about it, I mean just look at my gorgeous big fluffy bum right here, not only is he the cutest thing on legs but he's walking sex as well and just look at all that beautiful male these human hands get to explore, eight whole legs to stroke and give the worlds best hugs because trust me when I say you have not lived until you have slept on the chest of a beautiful Arachnakai boy and felt him hug you with eight legs and two arms, then you have the fact he's got all this gorgeous super soft fur to stroke, you've got gorgeous little spinnerets that make silk strong enough to catch bullets, all this body armour you see us wearing is made by him and not only that makes the most beautiful clothes and fixes them as well as he's a master tailor, all of these wonderful things all wrap up into the the most beautiful, gentle and kindest male you are ever going to meet and he is all mine and i damn fucking proud to stand by his side, ride on his back or stand and a fucking roof top and scream to the whole wide world that I am his and he is mine and that I love him, I would walk through the gates of hell itself and kick the devil in the balls for him, to me those differences are just wonderful things for me to explore" Wisp said proudly.

"Wow that's some serious passion right there," Faith said as they arrived at the door to the inn and were led inside by the young woman.

"Well, of course, I'm passionate I mean just look at this beautiful man, there is a whole lot of man to get every feminine instinct I have royally boiling hot and I am damn proud of it and of him," Wisp said proudly again and Malakai was blushing hard but he looked incredibly happy by her impassioned words.

"She means exactly the same to me, never before has someone ever stood and so proudly tell me what I mean to them and how much they love me until I met her, she stole my heart and ran off with and I'm sure as hell not going to ask her for it back, she'd tear my legs off and beat me with them," he said playfully making Wisp push him with an exaggerated look of shock on her face.

"Only the one not all of them, I couldn't bear the thought of you flopping about all over the place or having to scuff all that sexy fluff off dragging that sexy fluffy bum along the ground with your arms, plus I love your legs," she said playfully.

Faith just looked amazed at this like she had never seen true love in its purest form before, well not exactly its 'purest' form but pretty close, Lily went up to the man at the counter and explained that the mayor's office had called over and made an arrangement for a marge team of mercenaries that would be staying over, Seven never said anything about being called mercenaries despite them not being paid for this as they were doing to rescue the innocent claws.

The man simply nodded grabbed a key and led the party to a large room at the very back of the large exhibit which had been turned into an inn by simply building rooms into the place out of wood and corrugated steel making it impossible to tell what the exhibit had once been but it was a seriously large room that was now spilt into about twenty rooms of various sizes that kinda looked like a miniature indoor shantytown.

The room they had been allotted was obviously made with mercenary companies in mind and was little more than a large bunkhouse style thing with multiple bunk beds dotted around along with a few sofas.

"If you need anything please don't hesitate to contact me at the mayor's office," Lily said and with that, she was gone.

"The mayor is hoping to sweet talk you," Faith said the moment Lily was out of earshot and Seven nodded.

"Yeah figured as much but don't worry he won't be using me or my team as his personal heavies to bully anyone and if he tried to pull that crap he'll find out real fast how we deal with bullies," he said and Visa gave her large tail a swish and nodded.

"We are here for the claws, nothing more, we will help where can but we are not going to force anything on anyone," she said.

"Speaking of which let's sit down and start planning this" Seven said and Faith nodded and gestured to a large round table in the middle of the room.

"I'll tell you what I know," she said and with that, she began to explain in detail what she'd seen and it sounded pretty bad.
