That would have been a fitting title for this chapter as well, although the devil's temptation was certainly a major plot point. I was happy that Rahab made the right choice when tempted, and that Ana's milk gave temporary healing to Rahab. But my favorite part of the chapter was the encounter with the pirates (who, of course, stood no chance) and the subsequent meeting of Princess Miriam...which now sets us up to read about the next adventure for Rahab and Ana. :)

You are really keeping my interest peaked with this, never knowing what or indeed who is round the corner.

I'm concerned for Rahab health though as she is narrating this tale and has spoken of her failing health before. I hope she has still more time for adventure and love before her.

A very touching opening to this chapter with Rahab's health concerns and her rejection of temptation. The encounter with the Barbary Coast pirates was suitably thrilling and the introduction of new characters should give the saga fresh impetus.
