This was a fine story. Both funny and cute. That being said, have you ever thought of stretching yourself? Maybe next time you could write a longer story. Maybe a travelogue through America where the protagonist is a cute goblin. Think about it, I think it'd work.

That was a riot! I laughed again and again for 5 pages! It's like "How can this get ANY worse for the poor woman? Oh, that..." again and again! Yeah, she had it comin', but that... and the end, had me laughing for ages. Job security means no hanky-panky. Ever.

This is a simple and perfect revenge story. Having all the women a man could ever want is nice, especially if the lead one will someday marry him and give him more children to love. I think that having a room in the bunkhouse would be better than under the same roof.

With all the political BS that has been in the stories lately I had to really laugh with this one.

This is a clever take on the 'living well is the best revenge' motif, and completely over the top, which is most of it's charm. But it went on far too long, like an interminable joke. Sorry, King. A swing and a miss.

that the stupid fool got what he married. There is no indication that his wife had some great change in personality, values, character, or ethics. She was a snake from day one and was just waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. Its kind of hard to mistake a poison snake for a loving faithful wife, if you're paying any attention. Sounds like another shallow distant tepid marriage, where the wife traded up while the dumb ass ignored and facilitated his own marital destruction. Let's all repeat the mantra: "I never saw it coming." Guess not, when you live with your eyes and your brain closed. He got what he married, so he got what he deserved.

And now he has lots and lots of pussy and money and business success. And that's worth more than a loyal loving faithful marriage with healthy intelligent children being raised in a stable wholesome home? What do you think? Wonder how soon the daughters will dream of becoming some rich man's slut, just like all the women who work for their father. Yeah, they are going to be so much better off in their new home, with their mother humiliated and disrespected on a daily basis.

First of all, as a patent holder, they are not worth the money or effort, most companies don't bother unless it is for something they don't really care about. A patent is only good if you have bags of money to defend it with, once they go to court you usually see the patent reduced in scope or voided then it is toilet paper (hey there is a thought, where did I put those...). I sort of lost interest from then on.

Btw, well done. I’m not sure how to label it. Words failing me for the moment. It’s not quite humor, not quite btb. Perhaps “humorous btb fantasy?” What would you call such a style?

I said to myself "Sleepery Jim? He has done good stuff..."

And I started to read... my mind was a bit bent by sorta a weird accent, but following instructions I didn't really try to parse it. JimBob gave me practice.

I got a flavor of hostility to the female character (pretty sure Raine isn't the real lead female... somewhere between Rose and Rachael, I'd guess... lots of R's in that list).

"Just a bit over the top" was artistic understatement, clearly. (Twenty seven patents while living in a box? A lawyer that works on contingency, for a guy living in a box?),

A bit of scenery that really gets my stomach turning... cupping the face, getting a kiss, is way, way patronizing... but see "Just a bit over the top", I guess.

Humm... well the reveal of Raine's duplicity was interrupted... , the girls stripping her was not as sexy as that meme requires... but if you sexualize Raine too early then you are not as straightforward as BTB seems to require. But if you do sexualize Raine then you get to work kinko salvation-through-slavery imagery and get an entirely new and embarrassing fan base, which would be early Rehnquist but perhaps not Sleepery Jim. Such a deal.

And there was that current of hostility in the relationships with the staff... fun and games, perhaps, but very D and S. I suppose Rachael was looking for that in the staff to heal him, but still...

Anywho.... a very good take off on the BTB story requirements, but as a takedown it lacks something of self consciousness or twist of the plot.

And... I guess my feelings have not been so hurt that I could revel in the misery of Raine, and I am not so kinked out that I was taken up by Rose, Rachael, and the crew. And I am not so damaged as to find the BTB element sufficient as itself, or so vested in BTB that satire of BTB brings it home for me.

Pain in the ass, I am. So - cute, even well done, but I'm not likely to reread.

While I was getting towards the end of the story I imagined the entire female staff wearing strapons and destroying and humiliating the ex-wife... While the MC sat back fully clothed, maybe smoking or drinking, and just watching.

Now that is a scene

Reverse the gender roles in Cinderella, have Cinder-fella away to the castle, then the rest of the story is Cinderfella and all the palace’s help having orgiastic sex. Then the wicked stepmother comes begging alms. “Sure, start by cleaning out that fireplace.”
