Curiouser and curiouser! What a web of intrigue you are building with this story. Robin is a wholly (holy? Lol!) credible character. She reminds me of a deacon who was in the local Anglican parish here for a year some time ago, and who tried to start a multi-denominational group. Of course, the Church of Rome will not entertain female clerics, so that never got off the ground. I am coming to the conclusion that such a stance may be to their (and our) congregational detriment. But going back to your story, I enjoyed this chapter, and have given it 5 stars.
Another great chapter of intrigue and deception…..
You have a brilliant way of keeping us wanting more and I look forward to that.
The mole could be anyone of your characters Pix.
Love it !

Thank you so much Olwen. By their fruit shall ye know them, and in my experience, the fruit is good xxxxx
And the tension ratchets up ... five stars. Your point about agency is an excellent one and one that, in real life, needs to be made repeatedly.
The plot thickens. Who is to be trusted, and who is playing a double game? Miriam? MacDuff? Irina?
Will the virginal vicar find out what's up with the elusive Elena?
Until Robin is sure who the mole is, it might be unwise to speak to anyone in the police. Elena's behaviour is questionable, and Robin has caught her in a lie. Perhaps she is a double agent. A fascinating five star story.
Thank you, Nolonger Anon, it is clear that Macduff is not listening, which poses a dilemma for Robin xxxxx
Robin is one of my favorite characters among the ensemble of robust, believable characters you’ve created. And this series so entertaining — suspenseful, intriguing storylines with a rich supporting cast and revealing dialogue. What stood out for me in this short yet densely packed chapter is Robin’s epiphany if you will about the false paradigm and agency. So true; thanks for sharing that moment.
Thank you so much, Migbird. It is a learning process for Robin - and I am so glad you are enjoying it xxxxx
AWC Pixie, the sad truth is people are seldom who they appear to be, even to themselves. We often lie to ourselves before we lie to others. I am looking forward to where this goes, it is to sad that the world is in such a dreadful state that this is all to possible. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and my love.
Dr B; Yet another twist from my favourite author, hell's teeth Pixie, you certainly know how to write them. Plot's that twist and turn, an implication of a faint possibility of our virginal Vicar getting it on, but then another twist and any chance of Robin getting her knickers down is gone from this chapter. In my opinion, this is by far the best tale you have written on this site, no sex, it doesn't need any, just characters that draw you in, that you wonder who they are and care about their fate. The `sex worker's' are real people, with friends, family and their own lives not just various holes on legs. Just brilliant, five naturally and I for one can't wait for the next part. OXOXO
One of your best. Your control of pace, tension and plot points — all enviable! This is a wonderful read. Top marks K xxx
... of course we all are guessing now who the mole is - that it would be Elena seems far too obvious 😉 looking forward - thank you Pixie for another exciting chapter ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - and not forgetting the real question of which is the right kind of help for ladies in such a dismal situation... LisaR.
Thank you so much Dr B - and I am so pleased that you are enjoying it so much xxxxx
Thank you so much, Anonymous, that is quite the compliment - more is on the way xxxxx
Thank you so much, Lisa -- so happy that you are enjoying it so much xxxxx
Such intrigue, such banter and conversation.. will we see the ' Virginal Vicar ' in a wet tee again.. lol. Would have been a good line. Love this story of so much present day sufferings and controversial topics
Excellent!
We are drawn deeper and deeper into the plot.
Tension builds.
Characters become more complex.
And, you take the time to remind us of the power, and necessity, of agency!
Glad you threw in just a bit of erotica, for the fun of it! (They are humans, after all!)
5 Star and Well Played. This story has drama, intrigue and sex sprinkled in to continue the top shelf entertainment that it is. So well written to hold the mind of the reader that is hanging on every word while they try to decide who is good and who is bad which seems to go back in forth as who that is. Another Pixiehoff Masterpiece. Cheers
Thank you so much, Qwer. I really have been hugely encouraged by the reaction of readers xxxxx
I am enjoying this story, with the sexy Vicar as sleuth and champion of the victims of Russian abuse, as much as I enjoy your WW2 sexy historical fiction stories. What a fascinating person you must be to know and talk with in real life. Looking forward to the rest of this intriguing tale. All the best to you Pix.
