Lots of fun to read. I’ll bet it was a lot of fun to write, too!
loved this story. Got strangers in the night and a Bon jovi. then I forgot about the songs cause the story was so good !
Thanks for the story. I would look forward to an expansion on the Order of Martinius theme.
Enjoyed. Plenty of room for expansion here on these characters. Musty old place in Massachusetts, eh? Not too near Arkham and Miskatonic University, I hope.
Thanks for sharing. 5* Slainté
Thanks for all the kind words so far. This was one of the more involved stories in terms of research.
@TJSkywind: Greenbury and a ficticious space roughly 30 miles around it replace Amherst and surroundings in "my" version of Earth.
Great story. I love your take on horny goblins. You need to write more of them. And Eric Devereux is one of the most compelling characters I've read in awhile. Why did you lavish so much depth on him rather than some of the other characters? I hope we see him again.
Great story with some very interesting characters. Greenbury is still rife for cleaning up. Isn't there something sinister about the Black Lake and I think you could draw out more about the main characters especially Laura and developing a relationship with both Kelly and Eric. Perhaps Eric finds love elsewhere?
Admired the concept as well as the work and effort put into creating the background and the whole story. Thoroughly enjoyed and hope there's more to come involving the team as well as Vicky. 5 stars
Fabulous story, or is it the start of the Martinius chronicles.
Thank again!
Great story, as usual.
I got 6 of your hidden songs (and I'm kicking myself for not finding Stream of Passion), though I found a few others:
driver's seat - Sniff 'n' The Tears
creatures of the night - Kiss
nighttime birds - the Gathering
My lips are sealed - Jim Reeves
Hey Mama - David Guetta
on my shoulders - The Dø
who are you - the Who
Wasn't expecting the mix of magic and modern times. I was expecting olden times but when Laura answered her cell phone at the first of the story, I thought Blind_Justice had screwed up. Glad I kept reading as it was made clear after a while. Interesting blend of the old and the new. Enjoyed the story and wish it would have continued a bit further. Thanks
