Click here"Hi, Jerry." A familar soft voice said.
"Jeri! Hello! What's up?"
"Oh, we have a case in Federal court in Portland next week. I will be staying downtown. I was thinking maybe you could advise me on some good places to eat?"
"Even better, how about I take you?" I asked.
"I was sort of hoping you might say that. I really do like you, you know."
"I like you, too." I told her.
We chatted for quite a long time, finally she told me she had to get back to work.
"Me, too." I said.
"Oh, Jerry?" She said just as I started to hang up.
"Yea?"
"Nice ass!" She laughed.
"You too." I told her.
Hal came in as I was sitting there laughing.
"What's so funny?" He asked.
"Nothing. Nothing at all!" I grinned at him.
A fun story that did what it was supposed to do, entertain. I guess the ending was as good as could be expected but it would have been nice to see it taken further.
I felt they got over their anger at one another a little quickly but it didn't ruin anything. They were nice together. Hopefully they'll be able to find a way to get together more permanently. Good work.
Turns out to be good for both of them.....funny and very enjoyable....
Leave it alone - it is great as it is -
well tempoed story. No sequel is necessary, indeed I think it would spoil things.
