I just came across your stories and they are now amongst my favourites and this one in particular. Would there be a chance of having a continuation of this story? While I found the end very elegant and clever there is always the desire of knowing the details of what happened next. One can imagine many ends but then there is no mistery in them.

FYI, everyone, Maxine died in 2007 after a long and courageous struggle against cancer. I considered her a friend (online), and I miss her and her quirky, sexy, irreverent sense of humor very much.
