Very well written in a demanding construct. One small point,hardly any men in East Asia are circumcised so Mei Ling shouldn't have found it unusual.

a correction for you; I'm from these parts; and know for a fact that 100% of muslims are circumcised; probably up to one in four of chinese; and some natives as well.

Some for medical reasons like tight foreskin,for health; and usually for religion.

Some for want of pleasing their partners; or at their partner's request.
