Click hereA woman, perhaps sixty, peered at me through the narrow opening, her body hidden behind the door. It was extremely unlikely this was Hanna's captor. "Yes, ma'am, I know. Will you tell me how long you've lived here?"
"About two years."
"Thank you. I'm sorry I bothered you," I said as I turned away.
"I hope you find her."
I paused and turned back to the door. "Thank you, ma'am. So do I."
Tie Carl up with what? I doubt Rand would be carrying rope around on his Harley. I suppose he could go buy some rope, but if Carl came around before he got back... even if he took Carl's keys, Carl could still walk away. Finally, what would he do with the guy even if he did tie him up? It isn't like he can carry Carl with him, and if Carl was lying, he'd have to come back for him. I suppose he could leave him tied up where he fell, but if he were discovered, and Rand returned, that could be very bad for our hero.
Looks like this will get dragged till the end of 2021. Probably come back and read this when you have finished then
I wish you would issue more than a few paragraphs at a time. It is a good story being spoilt by the short episodes. In fact it is ruining the whole effect.
Why didn't he tie Carl up and go and see if he was telling the truth? Now in the real world Carl would just go and take his anger out on hanna.
