For the beauty, for the tenderness . . . I look for those qualities in my fantasies.
I needed this, the control the care is just amazing and actually makes me want to be a better person.
More please, and with a few more details, perhaps. Did she walk out of the shop in her old jeans? A (silk) sack? I love description- you are great on describing Gavin, but remember that men read you too.
what you did there...
Beyond the subtle self-promotion, this was a fantastic story. I started with Pt. 4 by mistake, and I had to go back to the beginning. Well worth the past few hours, to be sure.
Thanks for the educational chapter. I'm learning a lot. As an aside, was the reference to the book and author anything to do with your pen name?
This has been a very educational chapter for me. Thank you. Am very glad I found this story, and you, as the author. Looking forward to reading the rest of this. It makes me want a 'Gavin' of my own.
I love the dynamics and dialogs between the two of them and the compared thinking from a Dom's and sub's point of view. I would have expected a slower pace in Alexandria acceptance of the differences between Gavin and vanilla men though. And I adore the "romantic" description of Gavin's personality so different from the conventional way Doms are usually depicted. So far I am still looking forward to the next chapter.
Well done. The interactions between the characters, doms and subs, to even perceptions of those that aren't in that type of relationship is amazing. I admit even my idea of BDSM wasn't narrow before reading but has definetly broaden from this experience. The moments of clarity and personal reflection by the characters are not missed.
Although the basic elements of possible interactions between Doms and Subs are approached (superficially). The lack of depth in character, psyche and understanding reduce the first parts of this story to another "50 shades" wannabe. A poor role model for a story struggling to find its raison d'etre. Frankly, I can't understand why this story has been rated so highly
This novel is addictive and like an antidote to 50 Shades of Grey (which was written terribly and misconstrued the BDSM lifestyle.) For anyone who read 50 Shades and was left frustrated and cringing, this novel is a breath of fresh air! Thankyou for portraying BDSM for what it should be about: respect, trust, consent, pleasure.
