Well written story.

Obviously sex with someone 20 years younger is terribly exciting but she is being terribly careless. As careless as she is being it is almost like she wants to get caught.<P>

It doesn't sound like she cares very much for her husband: He seems to denigrate her opinions, is an inconsiderate lover, and "possibly" fools around.<P>

This does not seem like someone you would want to spend the rest of your life with. So why does she? Perhaps because he makes enough money that she does not have to work? Apparently she wants it both ways - a young stud for great sex and the security that her husband provides.<P>

Which is unfair. No one says that you have to stay with someone you no longer love but you should divest yourself of your marriage promises before moving on. She has good and valid reasons for taking up with her young lover so make the break with the husband first. But she knows this is only a fling and that he is going to cut it off a some point and she wants the security and social position that his wealth gives her. She appears to be a rather selfish woman.<P>

After starting to read comments on this site I now understand how Bush got voted in for a second term when so many people read pure fiction and bestow a reality to it.

This is just a note from the author agreeing with the rather tongue in cheek comments below - for which many thanks. The story is not meant to be realistic (though I really did know a plumber who 'serviced' a lot of his female customers on a regular basis). The consequences of this behaviour for 'Simone' are clearly potentially disastrous, and she shouldn't stay with Gerald as she clearly despises him. However, I've met several Simones and Geralds in real life, so it does happen - people get in a comfortable rut, etc. Having said that, please note - THIS IS FICTION. It may well be 'drivel' - I'm not aiming for the Booker Prize here - but it's meant to be (relatively) harmless fun, and a bit humorous. Please read it as a way of tittilating and fuelling people's sexual fantasies, rather than social commentary. Who knows - I may write a sequel...

The story was fun to read. A sequel could be interesting, but the story is complete as it stands.

I thought the narrative style was perfect for this kind of story - as if 'Simone' were relating it to me over a drink.

love the way you write, careless woman wanting it both ways , so what, there are loads of them around as i know, to my pleasure.the tempo was nice also, but as with everything in life you cant please all the people all the time,though some of us do try,well as many as we get the chance to.
