Really great

Very good, but ...

where to from here? There's still a lot to be said, i.e. who or what the white stag is, who Rin is and all the other high profile players in what seems to be a high stakes game, as Chad is sure to have attracted a lot of metaphysical attention with his involvement in the demise of the Jorogumo.

Even though I absolutely despised both of them at first, Chad and Quiang have become my favorites in your stories. Sebastian is likable, but is just a taste to self-righteous at times and doesn't really see how much he has to learn.

Please continue.

Loved it!

As far as an imagery of Christmas goes, this story is way better than sipping spiked egg nog or hot mulled cider in front of a fireplace. Now that you've completed another wonderful story, the clamoring for more will only get stronger. Either an epilogue, another chapter or two to reveal more of the "mystery" characters (the stag, Rin, and the winter element), or a spinoff that involved any one, or all three characters mentioned, would definitely be a HUGE bonus to your readers (hint hint). lol Definitely worth reading over and over again! :-D

As We End Another

of your wonderful storys I can only wonder what you have in mind. You introduced alot of new characters in this story just as Chad game from your previous story. So who could possibly be next? I should stop and say I liked this story. Although I still think Chad has more story in him, I get the need to end this book. This story was so much more intense than "Pearl". And Sebastian and Chad are like night and day. Reading the two different character I think I like Chad best, he's just more complex as a character. But that is only true until you write the next story and I find someone else to like better..hehe-he

Excellent Read!

That was a great story! Hope to see more in the same series! Winter in July reminds me of cooler times and is much appreciated!

Doesn't quite feel complete

I agree with Kolrin. It really feels like there's a lot left unsaid. There's a lot of reference to the characters moving in a larger plan, but no feeling that that plan was even shown, much less completed. I would very much look forward to more writing in this series.

continue?

Like others, i also believe u should continue writing these stories..i didn't realize this was the last chapter, but even if i did read the 2 before this..id still think you could easily continue

Five out of five, definitely.

Five out of five, no problem. I agree with the others. There's a lot more potential to this story, and it'd be great to see that potential realised.

this deserves a 10!!!!!!!!!!

I don't particularly care for Christmas stories (don't judge me please I just was never into that kind of stuff) but THIS... is like let's say... you never liked a particular food and some one made it totally different yet still had the some of the same stuff in it and you tried it... and loved it, THAT is what this is like!!!

I really do hope you continue to write about these characters and keep going, because your writing is some of thee best writing in a long LONG time!!!

Fantastic

A very well-crafted piece. The fantasy was really enticing. This is the first of your works that I've read, but I've definitely been hooked into going through your library. Keep writing; you have great talent for storytelling.

a very good one

a very good story... Loved it....

But.... is it only me or someone else too feels as if the story is incomplete????

What about those goblins and the ones who planned and the concern the dragons were having and all such things????

Would like more

I liked the story it by no means was bad, but I agree with previous comments for me it seems incomplete as an author you have the right to not continue with the story line but from from my perspective there's still a lot of areas I would like explored for instance the significance of the stag and chads dreams, what happens with the rest of the goblins and the two survivors of the bridge keep pack, what happens with the relationship between rin and chad, Qiangs training of Chad, the relationship between Chad and the growth of the vargr pup as it grows, and is there any significance to Qiangs fears about the chess play between two unknown forces. At the very least I think you have enough areas you could cover in future instalments if (as I hope you do) continue with the series

This Series is Too Good To End

I agree with Drotenon. The series felt as though there was more to the story. And as Drotenon stated, because it is your story you have the right to end it here or make more stories. The story that woven here and in Pearl were amazing. I would love to see more of Sebastian, Chad . Chang and Qiang.

It's a perfect

"and they lived happily ever after" ending... Or a perfect ending "to be continued" ... Either way, it was a great story. Thanks Thistlethorn for sharing it with us.

More

Please develop this story further. What you have written so far is just a teaser; I feel that a significant series could follow.

Wonderful

You don’t disappoint, lovely story it was nice to see Chad again as well as the rest of the crew. I was so happy to revisit your wonderful universe. I hope you continue to write maybe even a full book one day I’d definitely buy it.

The beginning

I haven't read the stories about Sebastian and the pearl, but this one about Chad felt more like an introduction than a complete story, like the first 2-3 chapters of a book where you acquaint yourself with the characters and the world. Regardless i enjoyed it and i can say it is well written.

More please

The story is not yet finished, I would very much like to read the rest and drown you in currency as a result.

I read “The Pearl” before coming here and found the continuation of that story, I felt the earlier story, although longer than this one, showed our Authors development very well; this story however, is of a significantly higher quality, just the way it’s built and the associated characters that are full of colour, shade and life, the fact that the “hero” is actually an anti-hero just adds to the quality of this piece! The darkness within it reminds me of several books, not least parts of the LoR trio, but this is screaming out to be published as a graphic novel, although I suspect the fact it’s a sequel would complicate matters. Best dark fantasy I’ve read here on Lit in ages, 5⭐️, sorry that you aren’t posting here anymore @Thistlethorn, but many thanks for what you have posted, cheers Ppfzz.
