I was half expecting weresharks or merfolk, but vampires will do, I suppose. Good work with expositing your version of vampires; there are so many versions nowadays (some more vampiric than others). Can't wait to see where this goes (at this point, I'm guessing a vampire's bedchambers [surely, they're too formal to call it a bedroom]).

Cats are just dumbed down vamps! Murderers in the night who torture there prey, Incapable of meaningful interaction or loyal behavior even within their own species. Conversely, vampires smell bad, as do their cat boxes, display no moral code and sleep all day! Please don't mix the cats and dogs in sexual relationships. Rant over, I readily admit that I don't care for cats, or vamps, in the form their personnas are most often developed; and I don't think either are entertaining in "dog" stories.
