Adam watched Robby hold his sister as she cried. He kept patting her back gently and when she spoke declaring it wasn't fair he just kept repeating, 'I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know'

Finally Robby found that Janey had stopped crying and he gently eased her away from him and when he saw how shaky she was he urged her to sit down.

"What was Janey doing at the station today?" Robby demanded of Adam when he looked at him.

"Janey managed to use a taxi to travel there from counselling by herself," Adam said levelly.

"Did you?" Robby asked brightly with surprise and pride in his sister.

Janey nodded and looked up at her brother. She longed to ask him all the questions that Adam had not answered to her satisfaction but knew that to ask him would only make him angry.

"She didn't know they were coming in?" Robby asked of Adam.

Resenting the way her brother was talking as if she wasn't in the room Janey got to her feet and stood facing her brother.

"You think you know what's best but you really have no clue!" She spat angrily then turned and walked into the bedroom shutting the door after her. In the room she could hear the muffled voices in the next room so she put the radio on and lay down on the bed. The emotional stress of the events of the day caught up with Janey and she closed her eyes exhaustedly.

As sleep claimed her the soft husky tones surfaced from her memories and green eyes smiled at her as she glanced his way nervously. Janey slipped into the calm dark waters of sleep. Dark menacing forms flickered at the edge of her mind but the memory of that voice and those eyes told her she was safe.

Out in the kitchen Adam watched Robby as he ran a large hand over his face; Robby turned to look at him and shook his head. "Have you told her that they are pleading not guilty yet?" Robby asked quietly.

"No, and I have no intention of telling her until she simply HAS to be told. It is going to absolutely shatter what confidence she has rebuilt for herself," Adam said thickly.

Robby glanced towards the door that led into the bedroom and frowned with worry, "Surely the medical reports will back up what she claims happened."

"The medical reports will hold a lot of sway but if it comes down to a battle in court I don't know if she will have the strength to face them. Well at least with those two handing themselves in today the entire process can start to get moving, it will all move together not drawn out over a period of time with the different defendants," Adam said.

"Why the hell did they come up here to Brisbane to hand themselves in? Weren't they down on the New South Wales and Victoria border when their solicitor contacted detectives in New South Wales?" Robby asked.

"It doesn't matter now; the damage has been done. Janey went to pieces at the station, absolutely freaked out." Adam said. He refrained from telling Robby how she had been unable to understand or accept why they had been being arrested.

"If only the missing persons unit had listened to our family when we tried to tell them that Janey would never have ran away!" Robby exploded angrily.

A soft frightened cry sounded from the bedroom and Adam hurried to the door to open it. He looked into the room and by the light of the bedside lamp he could see Janey tossing fretfully on the bed under a light rug.

"Janey, Janey. You're safe now, you're safe," Adam said softly as he walked into the room and sat on the edge of the bed. He continued to talk to her softly as he reached out and stroked her shoulder. He felt her shudder in her sleep and then slowly settle down at the sound of his voice and his gentle touch.

Robby watched from the doorway and wondered how long it would take before Janey stopped having the nightmares he knew plagued her. Probably years, he admitted to himself as he turned away unhappily. It hurt him deeply to see his once fearless little sister tremble at every shadow and jump at the slightest sound.

"I'd better go Adam. I have to go in to work in half an hour," Robby said.

Adam got to his feet and glanced down at Janey where she slept with only the slightest of tremors. "I'll lock up as you leave," he said and followed Robby to the front door.

I really didn't expect I'd get so hooked. I started off with the first series on Janey's abduction. Even though some parts were really violent and hard to stomach I kept reading. But it's the sequel that really humanizes this horrible ordeal. I really felt disgust for every and each one of the assailants in the end, because none of them helped or have her a choice. A CNC fantasy is good for an exciting roleplay only because it's consensual. While being a "page-turner" your Janey stories, especially the second one, show the aftermath, rarely covered in such stories. Adam is such a dog for even flirting with a girl whose gang rape case he's investigating, that one was not very believable. But their scenes were so hot :D a real nice change after all the cnc scenarios.

The only thing I wished happened in future chapters is Janey deciding to get an abortion in the end. It rarely happens in books and movies and I wish it was normalized more often. Janey deciding to keep the pregnancy so quickly after learning about it made me queasy. I wish she, and more female characters would decide more often "No, I don't want this. I'm getting my agency back and this is how I'm doing it". Reading about deciding to going forward with a rape pregnancy is not enticing in the slightest. Nonetheless, liking forward to the next chapter! X

No....

No this can't be the end! I'm in as much denial as poor Janey/Sky! I've spent a number of days waiting until I can be home from work and have privacy so that I can read this amazing piece of work! Personally, I really love it. Sorry to those who feel it is to harsh. I am definitely for Ren but Adam does interest me! I feel like the baby is going to cause her problems though. I hope her and Ren can meet again! Absolutely love it! Please keep writing!

Ren!!

Thank god this one's not finished yet! Adam is a wonderful man, but that moment with Ren in the police station... You just wanted them to be able to touch! just for a moment. I'm hoping that's the direction you're taking this in. No matter the circumstances, Ren is obviously her other half. I wish she would just arrange for him to be broken out of jail, and he could throw her on the back of his harley, and race them and *their* baby off into the sunset. Sigh. You know, iffin the world was a perfect place and all. lol

I ditto cantfightfate's Post!

Janey has only begun counseling and she's pregnant. She is too young and inexperienced emotionally to really understand Brad and especially Ren's participation in her ordeal. They had sex with her while she was being held against her will and legally should also be charged with rape. Her relationship with Adam, an older man is even moving too fast. She is only 18!

Janey's 'sensing' of Ren's appearance at the Police Station was written like an excerpt from a different story and felt so unrealistic and out of place.

MORE?

Will there be more? I really hope there will be. Adam is so kind but I can't help but hold out for more to happen between Ren and Janey. Brad and Ren were so kind but were still wrong... It's still so sad with them turning themselves in and I want to know more about the not guilty plea! I want more conversation or something between Brad, Red, and Janey! Please? I can simply hope. :) This is a wonderful follow up story. You're an excellent writer.

Info for you all

Mygypsy- wonderful as usual. About to read "Shades." loved the other two series. 5 stars for every one. Fellow readers- the continuation of "Shartered Dreams" picks up in Ren's series. And Ren IS a scumbag! He didn't like what Hawk was doing but he let it go on too long, raped her, and continued to keep her captive against her will! The only reason she has a soft spot in her heart is because he is the is the only one who showed loving feelings for her and she clung to him. He was her only hope of never being raped again. Her only protection. I'm gonna be pissed if she doesn't stay with this new guy.

Hey! please finish this! I wanna see how it'll all work out!

Why do the girls always have to go after the badasses, and skip over the niceguys?

Chapter 8?

So far this has been one of the most satisfying rape stories on this site. I really want to see it followed to its true conclusion.

Ren is not innocent!

To those people who are saying that Ren ignoring the physical abuse for so long is only human, you are missing out on one major point. Janey was kidnapped! She didn't choose to be with those guys. She didn't take vows to honor, trust and obey them! I would like to believe that if my friend was abusing someone, I would talk to them about it and if that didn't work, I'd contact the police. Even if it was an anonymous tip, it might help. However, this story is not a domestic dispute. This is not a wife who accepts the abuse because she loves her husband. This is a scared girl, who was raped and brutalized by multiple people. Even when she tried to escape, no one tried to help her (until she forced Ren's hand) and no one stopped the beatings that ensued. They accepted the (false) claim that she had become someone's property to be used however he saw fit. That is unforgivable and completely inhumane. I'm waiting for Janey to wake up and realize her 'protectors' are just the lesser of two evils.

Oh Epona poor ren!

I love ren I think he is a great guy and yes he didn't stop the abuse soon enough. But how many of us has seen abuse rather it be at a gas station a man yanking or yelling at his wife, or maybe a friend is too hard on there kids. But you know he put it right in the end, and I think it would be a GREAT thing (this could be a solution in real life too) to sit her down with ren and a councilor and get these odd emotions out. No I don't think she should go back with ren too much mud in that water to be able to last, but I think Adam could be someone to really love her and her him and it be a true love that is born of peace, contentment, and happiness.

Mygypsy your stories make us think, make us look at ourselves, and the ones around us and say do we always do the right thing?? And maybe there are times when we should think of doing the right thing.

To all the doubter out there!

Yes this is a tramatic story. Yes Ren could have stopped it sooner. Now ask yourselves THIS and be honest: If you had a friend or aquaintance male or felmale who abused their partner physicly, mentally or emotionly would you step in and do something about it? This is what this story is saying. No one is free of guilt nor is anyone wholy to blame for not stopping the abuse. MyGypsy has written a story that asked us all this question and if you can't HACK the tale DO NOT READ IT!! And put a name to your gripps and complaints because some of you are talking out your arses and are hiding by being anons. Get out of you irvory towers and think for a change. Janey only started to freak out big time when she was grabbed not when she saw Ren, confuseed maybe, but not out of control.

Right I'll get off my soap box now and say Thank you MyGyspy for another heart arching chapter and thank you again for showing that the people who think they are helping can make things a whole that worst.
