"I'm sorry," Kathi sobbed, lifting her head to turn it away from Leah's face, "I shouldn't."

"No, I'm sorry," Leah replied, struggling to understand what could now be the matter, "I went too far. You didn't want that."

"No, no, I did," Kathi protested, her sobbing subsiding. She stood up and stepped back a little to look at Leah.

"It wasn't nice for you?" Leah wondered.

"No, it was very nice," Kathi shook her head, "You are very kind. And very beautiful."

"Oh no," Leah dismissed the compliment with a wave of her hand.

"It's just... Annika," Kathi sobbed, "I really like her."

"Well that's okay," said Leah, relieved. She took Kathi's hands, pausing to first quickly wipe hers on the side of her dress.

"But, but..." Kathi stammered. She seemed to be pulling herself together a little more quickly than after her earlier bout of tears. She stopped crying, but her eyes were wide with confusion. She drew a deep, trembling breath and went on, "But... she wanted to put it in my ass."

Leah frowned, then almost laughed and had to smother her giggle in a short cough. Kathi's remark took her completely by surprise. It didn't sound at all like Annika to have been so forward. "Are you sure?" she asked after regaining her composure.

"Well," Kathi sniffed, "She said so, at least."

"Really?" Leah asked again.

"Yes," Kathi replied, raising her voice earnestly, as if a little indignant that the veracity of her statement was being called into question.

"Okay," Leah sighed, puzzled, "Well, that doesn't sound like her. Maybe there was some sort of misunderstanding."

"Maybe," Kathi seemed to concede the possibility with some reluctance.

"But I mean..." Leah hesitated, unsure how much she could pry without upsetting Kathi again, "That was what upset you, particularly? You like her otherwise, just not...?"

Kathi's still tearful expression was coy, perhaps also a little ashamed. "I don't know if I want to do... that."

"Well that's fair enough," Leah conceded, a little relieved, "It's not everyone's thing."

Kathi looked reassured for a moment, then she looked at Leah worriedly, "Wait, do you let them do that to you?"

Leah hesitated, struggling again to formulate a convincing untruth, but then realized that her hesitation itself had already given her away. "Well, sometimes," she replied.

"But do you like it?" Kathi insisted.

Having conceded as much as she had already, Leah couldn't think of anything better to say than the truth, "Yes, a bit." She gave a nervous laugh, "I mean, if you like someone, it can be nice just to give them pleasure. And I just like it anyway. It feels good."

"Oh," Kathi looked unconvinced.

"But it's not important," Leah continued hurriedly, "I know Annika, and I'm sure she likes you and she wants you to do only what you feel comfortable with."

"You think so?"

Though it was endearing, Leah couldn't help but find the expression of abject hope on Kathi's face also a little pathetic. "I'm absolutely sure of it," Leah said, "Let's go find her, shall we?"

"You won't..." Kathi began, glancing downward and looking sheepish, "You won't tell her, will you?"

"Tell her what?" Leah asked, "That you said she said she wanted to...? Or that you don't?"

"No," Kathi shook her head, "About us I mean. Just now."

Leah was again caught off guard and took a moment to realize what Kathi meant, "About us kissing and, um, touching just now, you mean? No, of course not. That was just... I just wanted to do something nice for you, is all."

"Oh," Kathi seemed to be reassured, "Thank you."

"So," Leah offered again the front of her dress to let Kathi dab at her eyes, "Let's go shall we?"

"Okay," Kathi smiled. She straightened her back and took a deep breath, "Right. Yes. Let's go."

Leah took Kathi by the hand and turned to look around, realized that she wasn't sure where to head. "Is there a way down to the great hall from here?" she asked Kathi.

"Yes, this way," Kathi tugged at Leah's hand to lead her along the terrace, "There are some stairs leading down to the gardens in front of the hall. You can get in from there."

They set off, Kathi leading. After the first few paces, Kathi's step quickened eagerly and every few steps Leah had to break into a trot to keep up, her heels clacking loudly on the stone. They reached the end of the terrace that Leah judged must correspond to the stage end of the great hall. There the surface of the terrace gave way to a wide flight of stairs, just as it had on the opposite side of the building.

"Here," Kathi pointed, and she led Leah down over the threshold of the steps.

Following along, Leah found she had to place her feet carefully to avoid stumbling on her high heels. The steps were wide but deep, and the middle of each was smoothed out into an uneven depression by years of use. "Sorry," she called out, "Stupid shoes."

Kathi stopped and turned. "No, your shoes are very nice," she replied, "Take your time."

"You're eager to find Annika again, aren't you?" Leah smiled at her as she clambered downwards, twisting her feet first to one side and then the other as she sounded out the surest footing on each step.

"I guess," Kathi's smile was coy but heartfelt, as if she were somehow gratified by the remark, but didn't want to show it.

They reached the foot of the stairs and stepped out onto a short patio of flagstones like those on the terrace above. To their right the patio followed the slow curve of the rounded end of the great hall. To the left and ahead of them the flagstones stopped and became the short grass of the lawn. Close by, the lawn was studded with tall flaming torches that had been speared into the ground. Beyond them, the lawn seemed to extend a long way into the distance, eventually giving way to the dark outline of a dense copse of trees.

"So tell me," Leah clutched Kathi's arm as they began to make their way around the curved edge of the building, "How did you meet her?"

"Annika?" Kathi asked.

"Yes, of course," Leah replied, "Annika. Did you dance together?"

"We did," said Kathi, "But only after. First we met in the garden."

"Oh," said Leah, "I haven't really been outside yet." She realized that she had barely seen the gardens. From glimpses out of the tall windows in the great hall, and from the terraces and balconies above, she had formed an impression of a wide, flat expanse of grass that eventually gave way to rolling banks.

"It's really nice," Kathi pointed out at the dim moonlit space in front of them, "You can't see much of it now, but earlier there was a lovely sunset."

"And you met Annika there?" Leah prompted.

"Yes," Kathi replied. It seemed that she might be about to elaborate, but they reached the edge of the patio, and Kathi occupied herself with helping Leah step down off the high flagstones and onto the grass.

The ground was dry but had a slight give to it, and Leah felt the slim heels of her shoes dig into the soil. She put her arm around Kathi's shoulder, "Sorry, need a little help."

"It's okay," Kathi took some of Leah's weight as they walked slowly round the edge of the building, "It's not far round from here. There are some doors leading into the great hall."

They reached a second patio round the corner of the building, this one much narrower, not much more than a shallow step. Two very tall grand doors of varnished wood paned with large squares of glass were wide open, the bright orange light of the great hall spilling out onto the lawn. Leah took her arm down from about Kathi's shoulders and held her hand as they both stepped inside. As they crossed the threshold, they passed from the relative cool of the outside into a warm bubble of noise and light, the clatter of shoes and of glasses all about them, blended with the indiscernible chatter of myriad conversations, and in the background still the music, a slow waltz.

"Do you like dancing?" Leah asked, indicating the still crowded surface ahead of them.

Leah did not relish the prospect, in her somewhat restrictive dress, and with her butthole still very slightly sore where it gripped tight to the plug that Lena had given her. She was relieved to see that Kathi's expression was less than enthusiastic as she replied, "Maybe, I suppose we could."

"Let's just skip across to the other side and get to the bar," Leah suggested, "Annika might be there." She offered her arm, holding it out in front of her, and Kathi took it with a smile.

Stepping cautiously out among the shifting crowd of couples, Leah realized that Kathi expected to be led. She was clinging tightly to Leah's arm, facing her and waiting at each step for Leah to move before mirroring her own steps to stay close. Leah found that she was even worse at leading a dance than she had been at following. After a few false steps and near collisions she ended up clutching Kathi by the waist to hold her tight and almost drag her across the dance floor. They swept in haphazard circles as Leah tried to thread a path between the trajectories of the other dancers. At a few moments, Leah cast a glance over Kathi's shoulder to see whether she could spy Caroline anywhere, but saw nothing. They quickly reached the edge of the crowd, where Leah, already close to breathless, let go of Kathi's waist and stood still a moment to take stock.

"Wow," said Kathi, "You're really great at dancing." There was no hint of irony in either her voice or her wide-eyed expression.

"Oh, thanks," Leah laughed.

"You were looking for Annika among the other dancers," said Kathi, "Did you see her?"

"Oh, no," Leah replied. She turned to look behind her into the broad arched alcove that housed the bar area, "Let's see, maybe we can take a look around the bar."

"Okay," Kathi nodded.

The area around the bar counter was more crowded than before. Many girls had left the dance floor to sit at the stools or stand around nearby, sipping their drinks and talking or watching the others dance. Lena had said that Annika would most likely be around here. Leah wasn't sure where exactly, but it occurred to her that it would be reasonable to wait at the same booth where the four of them had last sat, just before going up to Lena's chambers.

"Come," Leah pulled Kathi along behind her and made her way across the floor to the booths, dodging between the backs of two clusters of chatting girls. Leah wasn't sure she remembered which of the bank of booths was the exact one they had occupied before, but then, already as they approached, she spied Annika's lush crop of brown hair from behind. Annika was sitting perched at the near end of one of the booths, facing away from them. She was nursing a tall, nearly-empty glass and swinging her legs idly below the bench.

"Oh. That's her I think," Kathi gasped, whispering.

Up until that moment, Leah had not given any thought to what she would do next, other than to muse that she would be glad to see Annika again, perhaps to flirt with her a bit. But seeing that Annika was facing away from them, Leah hurried to put together a vague plan. She turned abruptly to face Kathi and pulled her close so they could speak quietly. "It looks like she's on her own," Leah said, "Let me talk to her first. You go to the bar and get us both a drink. Then come and join us, and I'll have sorted it all out."

"Okay," Kathi replied meekly, looking a little worried.

"Just one more thing," Leah let herself be carried by a sudden impulse. She glanced over her shoulder quickly to check that Annika had not turned round, then she clapped her hands to Kathi's sweet face. "A final kiss," Leah whispered.

Kathi tensed in Leah's arms as their mouths met, but she offered no objection. Her mouth opened a little and and their lips slid smoothly over each other. "Oh," Kathi exclaimed. Her face was flushed pink and she beamed a coy smile at Leah as she pulled away.

"Now," Leah patted Kathi on the hip, ushering her in the direction of the bar, "Off you go."

Kathi turned and took a first step, then pivoted and looked back, "Wait. What would you like to drink?"

"Anything," Leah replied, "It doesn't matter. Just get whatever you would like, and get the same for me, I don't mind."

"Okay," Kathi waved with a final smile of nervous excitement, and trotted daintily off through the huddle of bodies towards the bar.

Leah drew her breath and twisted round on the toes of her shoes to face the booth. Annika was still there, and she seemed indeed to be sitting alone. Leah strode swiftly forward and then only a few steps later felt the toe of her foot catch the hem of her dress against the floor and pull her forwards and down with an awkward yank. She stumbled, letting out a loud involuntary yelp, and clattered forward on her heels, flailing desperately until her hand finally, miraculously, found an outstretched arm.

"Whoops!" Leah gave a shrill cry and gripped tight at the arm offered her. It held firm, barely giving as she put her full weight on it to save herself from a flat-faced fall against the hard floor.

"Whoa! Are you okay?"

Leah felt her heart still racing from the sudden shock of her near-fall. She looked up and her eyes met those of Annika, now half sitting, half standing at the end of the bench, her arm outstretched. Her brown eyes were full of concern, but also perhaps a glint of amusement. "Oh. Hi," Leah gasped, trying hard to catch her breath in one swift sigh and not seem too flustered. She looked around her, and saw to her chagrin that her fall had drawn a few looks from some of the girls standing around the bar. They glanced quickly away as Leah turned her gaze towards them. "Thanks. I'm okay," she said to Annika.

"Your, um, boobs," Annika glanced downwards.

Leah looked down at her chest. Her dress had been pulled down the front of her body, and as she had pitched forward, her breasts had spilled free. One of them was fully exposed, bulging right out. The other was held against her body by the tight neckline of the dress, her stiff nipple just peeping out over the top. "Oops. Oh my," Leah felt her cheeks redden as she quickly pulled the dress back up by the neckline to scoop up her breasts and jostle them back into place.

"Well, it's nice to see you again," Annika giggled, "And your tits."

"Oh dear," Leah laughed nervously, "That really was not classy."

"Do you want to sit down a moment?" Annika indicated the bench at the other side of the table, "How have you been?"

"Thanks," Leah replied. She composed herself and slid onto the bench as Annika did the same opposite her, leaning back against the wooden backrest. Leah winced briefly as she felt her buttocks press tightly together against the ring of the plug in her butthole. She lifted one cheek and then the other to spread them more comfortably a little further apart.

"Are you okay?" Annika asked.

"Yes, yes, I'm fine," Leah replied hurriedly, "I've been doing okay. And you?"

"You look really... hot," Annika smiled earnestly.

"Oh, thanks," Leah replied, "You too."

Leah tried to remember what Annika had been wearing when she had seen her last. She had definitely changed her top at least, and was now wearing a tight-fitting, short-sleeved black t-shirt that had been cut off just below her petite chest to bare a large stretch of her lovely, slim midsection. Annika's flat stomach creased into only a few tiny neat folds as she leaned forward onto the table to talk.

"Did Lena choose that dress for you?" Annika asked.

"Oh," Leah replied, "Yes. Do you like it?"

"Yes, a lot. It suits you really well," Annika put her hands to her glass, half full of slowly melting ice cubes and a dilute residue of orange juice. She looked for a moment somewhat despondent through her smile, her shoulders slumped and her eyes tired.

Leah felt suddenly a little ashamed. She had been off basking in the attentions of the other two girls and enjoying the most exquisite pleasures of the evening so far while Annika had by all accounts had no luck with her own endeavors. "I'm sorry I... We just..."

"No," Annika held up her hand, sighing, "Lena is right. I have to learn this, to practice."

"Okay," Leah replied feebly, her guilt somewhat assuaged.

"So did you...? What did you get up to?" Annika seemed genuinely interested.

"Oh," Leah laughed, thinking back, "Yeah. They really, um..." she struggled to work out what she could say about it. Then she checked herself, looking out over the bar area, "We should still be discreet, right? About, um, Sisterhood stuff?"

"Yes," Annika replied, lowering her voice, "But we can chat as long as we're not too explicit about... details."

"Okay," Leah nodded.

"So they really fucked you good, huh?" Annika leaned in closer, speaking in an excited, conspiratorial whisper.

"Yeah," Leah answered enthusiastically, laughing.

"And the other girl?" Annika asked, "With the really big tits."

"I left her with Yvonne," Leah replied.

"Oh god," Annika shuddered. She picked up her drink and drained some of the last dregs of juice, the ice cubes rattling against the sides of the glass.

"And you?" Leah countered, "What have you been up to?"

"Not much," Annika replied glumly. "And where's Lena?"

"She'll be down fairly soon I guess," Leah replied.

"So you're on your own then? Would you like to get a drink?" Annika shook her empty glass and waved towards the bar.

"Thanks, no, I'm, um," Leah hesitated, "I've found a friend. She's at the bar getting our drinks just now."

"Oh. Great," Annika smiled, a wistful look on her face, "You make friends so easily."

Leah had never thought of herself as someone who made friends easily. It felt strange, gratifying but also very slightly frightening to think that for the moment, here with Annika and with Kathi, she was the sociable one, the one who would have to take the initiative. Mindful that time might be limited, she resolved to cut to the chase. "I think you might know her," she said.

"Oh," Annika looked wary, "What's her name?"

"Kathi," Leah couldn't help but smile wryly, while feeling immediately that her expression was not the appropriate one.

"Kathi with a 'K'?" Annika asked.

"Oh," Leah wondered for a moment, "I don't know how she spells it. Maybe."

"With short brown hair? Quite petite? Sort of shy, mousy-looking?" Annika went on.

"Yes," Leah replied enthusiastically, "That's her for sure. So you met her too?"

"Oh no," Annika groaned, "What did she tell you?"

"Did you...?" Leah leaned forward, lowering her voice, "Did you really try to...?" she had to stifle a giggle as she went on, "... to fuck her in the ass?"

"No!" Annika hissed quietly, looking mortified, "That was just... Oh fuck I really fucked up. That was just a mistake."

"What happened?" Leah asked, still having to fight the urge to laugh out loud.

"It was just a mistake, a misunderstanding," Annika replied, "I mean, I did say that. That I wanted to. But it was just, you know, a heat of the moment thing, just flirting talk."

Mixed with her slightly shameful amusement, Leah felt a warm sympathy for Annika, looking so dejected. "You told her you wanted to fuck her in the ass? That's some fairly intense flirting."

"I know, I know," Annika held up her hands, "It just slipped out."

"I'm wondering," Leah looked upward, indulging a sudden fantastical whim, "How I might have reacted if you'd said that to me, back when we met."

"Oh?" said Annika.

Even now, perhaps only a few hours later, Leah already struggled to cast herself back to the moment she and Annika had undressed, and remember clearly what she had been thinking or feeling. "I don't know," she mused, "Maybe I'd have let you do it."

"Oh fuck," Annika groaned quietly. She bit her lower lip, "Really?"

"Yeah, I guess," Leah replied. She pulled herself out of reverie and focused her eyes on Annika's face. "So anyway, what happened then?"
