"You mean others know about that mark?" she asked.
"Oh, yes. It is well known in some circles. Now we have a few more pressing issues. Maybe you can give a little input. Put your clothes on. Well unless you WANT to stay naked." Sarah said. She brought Ginger up to date on what was going on with Wanda.

Anonymousalmost 3 years agoThe idea of suicide or nighttime attacks among slaves might be briefly explored. Interesting that the doctor’s wife (who treated him so horribly) has been given a dose of reality as to his potential revenge later. Hard to fathom he not remembering his treatment in regards to their “loving” relationship.

Sara is taking revenge on Ginger because Ginger abandoned Sara's beloved Aunt or screwed her over or something. Sara treats others quite fairly and without much cruelty.
Clarice hated Kat for being the third party in an affair and for getting herself a completely unnecessary punishment. Personally, I don't think the affair and cheating thing was that big a deal since I've got a bit of a free love kind of mindset, but some people really really hate it and I kind of understand their perspective. I also do think Kat turning herself in like that was excessively stupid to the point of infuriating, and it could be especially galling for someone who didn't want to be a slave. If Clarice was in Kat's position, she never would have turned herself in, and so she probably resents Kat a lot of throwing away an opportunity that Clarice could only dream of. Not only that, but Kat also dragged her mother down as well.
Leanne is a capitalistic exploiter who doesn't care about injustice if it means personal gain. She also has a bit of a cruel and capricious streak to her.
Of the three, I'd say Leanne is the worst by far, Clarice is a bit of a bitch but not too bad, and Sarah is an okay person.
Anonymousabout 3 years agoCheck for a new chapter everyday. Unrealistic, I know. But thanks for working hard and writing new chapters fairly frequently. It’s a great story. Your writing pace is much appreciated. Some other very good series have such large gaps between chapters it can be difficult to remember where you were in the story. Your efforts are very much appreciated.
Siska100about 3 years agoI still hope Wanda is set free. She should never have been enslaved, in the first place. As the story goes, she ended up a slave because of the crooks that used her and left her without any money to pay for a decent lawyer, instead of the creep from the Public Defenders' Office.
No matter what they decide, go to Court or not, Wanda needs to be isolated from 'Bitch Leanne' right away. Derek should definitely find her a job at one of Leanne's competitors or maybe, somewhere in Sarah's 'Empire' and she definitely shouldn't go to those 'Weekend Parties' anymore, at least until, they can stop Leanne from not only abusing but willfully destroying Wanda and humiliate Bonnie, by making her witness how she abuses her mother.
But on a lghter note, it's going to be fun to see how Ginger and Bev integrate.
