Something about the two leading characters bothers me: both are in their early twenties reasonably intelligent and physically attractive and they have buried themselves in some place maybe not a rural backwater but too close for comfort

The protagonist and his sister were both ideal candidates for the military service - Senator JD Vance (who can’t lie straight in bed if a prospective voter might be listening) was one step ahead of being a high school dropout - joined the Marines - graduated summa in three years at Ohio State and got a ride at Yale Law (if not the best law in the country it’s tied for first place) I don’t like his politics but he is a success story on account of his Marine Corps experience.

Otherwise I like the writing and the storytelling I especially appreciate the fact that our hero did not need to demonstrate every form of foreplay known to man, even, or maybe especially, virgins.

I also commend the author for not turning the skinny dipping party into an orgy of swapping

This is the first story I’ve read submitted by this author - I am looking forward to going through his backlist

That said, one nit to pick. Some of the things mentioned probably require building permits and inspections. Windows, in particular. Is Bryan up on all that?
