Ripp seems very human-like for an android. You could have explained why an android would need to work out. Also, why would he be programmed to become aroused from seeing his mistress naked (especially when she didn't desire him to, and without him being able to just turn off that functionality)? I would think simple voice commands to initiate or cease arousal and sex would suffice. Masturbating on his own would also waste his "cum" reserves.
