Seems kind of dumb.
Sure, he's a teenager and never eaten pussy before, there's always a first time, but not knowing what to do? Did he grow up in a cloister? Please.
Wall phones, teenagers seeking outside jobs, bag boys with bow ties, five dollars to cut a yard and it being two times minimum wage and Annette Funicello all lead me to believe that this story is not set in this century. Possibly the seventies or early eighties. While people obviously had sex then, children and teens were not inundated with it like they are today. I like the story, it seems very Graduate-esque. Keep it up and let us know what the next lesson entails.
As another person has already commented, it does seem that this story is a "period piece". (For me, when he made a big deal out of $5 and $10, I had a "What the...?" followed after a beat by "Ooh.") It was enough of a hook to keep me reading, and then pulled me in. Looking forward to more.
