No way. Stopped reading there utter tosh.
Dear anonymous,
Around 1983, I did travel to Manchester by cab. It cost me a small fortune, but I felt safer that way.
When we went to London, I was delighted by rides in the black cabs. My mother and I went alone and she did not want us to take the train. We took lots of cab rides and two rides on the double-decker. But mostly we took cabs. We always took cabs in New York City, New York. She did not allow us to ride the train there, either, so maybe that is why my mother thought nothing about spending the money.
