It's been my experience that many of the one-page stories on this site just aren't very good. But, FairLady, 'Susy' is an absolutely brilliant little story. It is tender and touching and makes the reader feel deeply for Susy and for Sammy who takes such good care of her. Well written, very lovely.

This lovely short story is simple but so very touching. It's one in the eye for those sad souls who believe that disabilities preclude the victims from knowing love. Just perfect.
