Linda insisted on being in one of the undercover cars in the parking lot; the police didn't like it, but she wore them down and they finally agreed as long as she wore body armor. I had a bulletproof vest on under my suit jacket.

I was pleasantly surprised that our plan worked out perfectly. Jim approached the door to 125 at 1:10 -- obviously having watched us from the business next door -- and drew his gun. Just as he was about to either bang on the door or shoot the lock two ATF agents and an uncover cop took him down. He did get off one shot but it merely hit an awning and did no real damage.

Using the information that Linda, Jane, and I had given them -- along with other information from their own investigation once we gave them our information -- the ATF was able to get a judge to deny Jim bail, and to get a conviction within six months of his arrest so that he'd be spending a minimum of twenty years in a Federal penitentiary. By that time Jane had divorced him, sold their house, got essentially all of their assets, and had moved with her kids 1200 miles away.

Linda and I received an award from the ATF for our work, giving her the fame that she so intensely coveted.

No, Jane and I did not have a good-bye fuck, but we did hug and she thanked me -- and Linda -- profusely. Surprisingly I felt no manifestation of a brain sync with Jane when we parted ways.

My relationship with my family remained at an all-time strength during the six months from Jim's arrest to conviction. Despite all of the fantastic sex I had been getting from Linda ever since the night of the Seminal Event (I kept track and there were only two days during that time that we didn't have sex of one form or another, and both times I was away on business) there was something bothering me. I had the feeling that the brain sync that I had experienced with Jane had been transferred to Linda, since I sometimes seemed to be anticipating what she was about to say or was thinking or feeling, and I worried that she might have the same ability.

One thing that Linda and I determined that we loved in common was amateur sleuthing. Using the pedigree from the Seminal Event and our ATF award we were accepted as registered users of the Internet site Webslueths. Websleuths LLC is a private company that maintains a forum for registered users to discuss and classify information related to crimes, trials and unsolved cases, which the users try to solve.

Four months after Jane had moved Linda and I attended a Webslueths conference in Florida. The last night of the conference -- which we both thoroughly enjoyed -- after I enthusiastically fucked Linda's pussy and then her C++ tits, resulting in mammoth orgasms for both of us, as we kissed and snuggled getting ready to fall asleep Linda held my face in her hands, looked directly into my eyes, and asked "Did you ever fuck Jane after your supermarket heroism?"

I thought for a few seconds on how I could respond without lying and without ruining what was now the best relationship that Linda and I had ever had, in fact better than I thought possible. After a pregnant pause I had a Eureka moment.

"Why do you want to know Autoerotic Audrey?" I probed with only a half-smile.

Linda got the most surprised look on her face that I had ever seen in my life. After another pregnant pause, three times as long as mine, where we both stared into each other's eyes, she replied "Never mind," and the quickly scurried down under the covers and started sucking my cock trying to get me up for a record third time.

She succeeded, I blasted a surprisingly large load down her throat, and we fell asleep in each other's arms immediately thereafter.

***************

It's now been six years of the happiest times of our lives since that night at the Websleuths conference, even though we both cautiously "brain sync." We have never mentioned Jane or Autoerotic Audrey again.

Seminal Event

I'm not sure why the story's title isn't "Seminal Event". Within the text of the story "Seminal Event" occurs more frequently than "synched brain waves." Such overwhelming repetition is not your friend.

"Framing" someone for a felony is dramatically different than "snitching" on someone actually doing the crime. Both have negative connotations, but one is actually an illegal action itself. IMO, staging a fake cheating session is not a likely scenario for an ATF take-down.

Nice, original story, im.

Keep 'em comin'.

I found this a different (in a good way) story. Thanks for writing.

It was not violent like I was expecting from the warning! I would call it about as violent as a news cast but that is my thought. The story was ok - no regrets reading. I did get a smile and chuckle at the end so I was entertained - that is my goal in reading.

Not your best storyline but Happy you are posting! I did like the the brain sync plot (? Not sure what to call it, device? in writing, I am sure it has a name! Premise 🤷🏽 as I see from another comment who did not like it 🤷🏽).

Please do keep writing/posting and I will keep reading!!

Not too bad but not much either.

"imhapless" has original plots usually. The problem in his plots are 1) that they are preposterous and 2) that they are very self-centered (I did this, I am that way, I ...). Also the magnitude of "fucking-libido-fluids" is more on the level of juvenile fantasy to be considered meaningful in service of the plot.

Tone down the "coolness", it isn't really as cool as you think.

I enjoyed the dickens out of it! Heck, this could be a whole series, or at least an expanded story. Five thumbs up.

Weird! But OK! Couldn't accept "synced brain waves" as premise.

Interesting

I think I liked it. Quite a twist making the main character and hero the flawed one. I kept waiting to see how/if the wife was cheating. By her attitude I would still say she was at least until hubs became the hero. Then you don't have Jane and the hubs end up together either. Just one twist after another.

I really did like how you laid out something for the readers to figure out but then twisted it up and went in the opposite direction. Like with Linda demanding she be there for the ATF takedown, I thought you would kill her off and pave the way for the husband and Jane, but you didn't. You just dangled that morsel out there and walked away. LOL. Brilliant.

I enjoyed the cheerful tone. Good, original story.

Very very very confused!

MC and Linda go to the ATF about Jim (not sure if that was his name) gunrunning. Do the ATF then say thank you, we will take it from here and do their own investigation? Nope! For some reason they ask the MC and Linda to send Jim an anonymous email to show up at the hotel. If it's anonymous, why can't the ATF send that email?

Then their big idea is to get Jim for possession of a firearm so create this crazy scheme about Jane having an affair with the MC. They say it will be great to arrest him for possession of a firearm, but even if he didn't show up with a firearm it's still good so that they can arrest him. Arrest him for what at that point? Felons cannot be in hotels either? And if they can arrest him for all the other evidence, why not arrest him when he is in the bathroom taking a crap where he is least dangerous.

If they got enough on him for gunrunning, that he would get 20 years in prison (felon possession of a firearm is at most 2 to 3 years), then again why the whole hotel silliness? Plus, if you have evidence of a felon for gunrunning, doesn't that already cover gun possession? Like many gun possession?

Also, never got why the wife was only a blow up doll for sex? Was it because the excitement is Audrey got her juices going, and then when she stopped doing that her libido went down? But her libido seemed to be just fine before the whole Audrey episode, so what changed? It would have been interesting to know why the wife changed. More interesting psychological question (especially in LW) than the brain synching IMO.

The story was just ok outside of the whole Jim situation mentioned above. But this author has given us plenty of good stories so not going to rate this one as it won't be very good.

On a side note I have a good friend of mine who owns a large law firm, and women had always liked him. His wife is a doctor. They have 3 kids, and have a great long term marriage. Once while having lunch I asked him if he would want to know if his wife ever cheated on him during their marriage. He smiled and said "nahhh." It reminded me of this story. They each had their little side sexual things that got their juices going that were transferred to their spouses and their spouses benefitted from it. They weren't planning on leaving their spouses. Perhaps one doesn't need to know everything their spouse is up to all the time.
