It was too narrative. Not enough detail about his time with the girls. Also, the Cloie, from first story but mentioned in this chapter, was such a perfect woman (physically and personality) that Alvin seemed like a jerk instead of a stud.
Author seems to think being a stud requires a man to be indifferent and uncaring. Conquests and a girl in every city are fine, but that doesn't mean he ignores them after first time. Sydney (several girlfriends) was what I'd expect everywhere. The hotel clerk whore was a weird situation. Why pay her. A seduction and gift on future visits makes more sense. He mistreated Chloe. Chapt 1 ended with promise for an interesting tale. This chapter was blah.
