Or the wife could have told her husband the plan, and asked him to attend each if her shoes. He then would sit in the audience watching her. This makes her sexual growth a shared experience between the two of them.

In contrast to those plots, your story created an uncertainty in the reader regarding the wife's commitment to her husband. Having her give the gift of her sexual growth to strangers while hiding it from her husband destroys the sense that these two people have a bond which will hold them together as their relationship changes and grows. Like a lot of readers, I see a divorce coming down the line for these two characters. If you did not intend that, then you missed the mark. Sorry.
