I think the ending told how they were living and going to live, how the hardship of the relationship lasted through a very bad situation. The story showed that anyone can overcome adversity. I loved it. Great job.

I enjoyed the story very much. I enjoy all your work.

That said, I thought the beginning began very rushed. I felt you could have gone a bit slower in terms of talking about how they got to the ruins while they were in such bad shape. I assume Adriel was admitting he killed Shia, but how can that be when he was with Christopher going to the ruins? I thought her death scene could have been extended to a paragraph maybe having her fight back then dragged to this island and described how she was strung up.

So, I would have liked to see that part done in more than a few sentences. Their escape was so dramatic that I think the rest of it should have been too. I was happy when half way through you went back to your usual style that makes your work so great. You tell a story well and draw pictures and had more details.

All in all, the story was very well-done. Keep writing

I'm REALLY sorry that I didn't make this clear... It was sloppy of me.

Shia was being too reckless, so she dies when the Merlee officials find her, and she is strung up exactly like Theo was. Her crime was breaking the surface and endangering them by exposing their existence to humans. I probably should have extended that scene, and I apologize for it.

I read all 8 chapters and loved each of them. I felt for Christopher's longing and love, and Adriel's innocence shone through the words. Very well done.

I hate to say anything bad about such a great writer but im frustrated with two words! Such an original story line, likeable (real?) characters, and great sex with lots of emotional detail, then "They came.", one first then the other, then snuggles and love and good stuff.

Put some thought into improving that moment and we readers will love you for it. Please keep writing!!!! Ps loved the zombie series too!

No need to apologize for the ending of this story, it was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be - positively HEA for you ;-).

And I had no problem working out that Shia died due to Merlee law, and that Adriel just knew this would be the case. Quite clear and served her right !

But I almost admire you most for making us understand how the villagers could act like they did (from genuine fear and hurt), while still having us hate the way the two lovers were treated.

The best endings bear the seeds of new beginnings. What an amazing awesome fairytale! This is hands down my favorite of your stories despite the short simplicity. It gave me the same thrill as any Louis L'Amour's or Frederick Faust melding of medieval survivor with otherworld feel.
