Damned fine writing

Head and shoulders above most of what is posted on this site! I particularly admired the way you wove the threads of Patrick's present day, 18th birthday, and earlier memories into a smooth and satisfying vignette. You have done your namesake proud and I'll be sure to check out your other works.

Even after 41 years, I still remember my first. We stayed friends for many years. Even after we both were married to others. Some things just seem to important to forget.
