It took nearly seventeen months for our reunion after she graduated from the academy due to another long flight. She'd reserved a starlight suite for us, and we didn't leave the room for nearly three days.
Our reunion was long deserved, but bittersweet as our family on the 'Leaping Koi' seemed to be breaking up: Bristol was finally retiring as he'd grumbled about for so many years. Janey and Murtaugh were trying to convince us to join them as they took contracts on a passenger liner that was doing safe, slow runs from Earth to Jupiter. Captain Sato was talking about an academy teaching position since he and Hina's mom had tentatively rekindled their own relationship.
Wherever Hina and I would go next, we would go together.
