Is that the end? Some stories have very abrupt endings but this is taking it to extremes

Richard1940: It's not the end, but it might be what's a fairly long hiatus. I've written quite a bit of the next chapter, but it's not finished and I'm not sure when I will be working on it again. I apologize, but I find it hard to find time for writing with all of my other responsibilities and hobbies.

This is a fantastic story, well told. The world is fascinating.

What a cliffhanger!! What happens next? I'll be looking for further chapters.
