Eagerly awaiting part two, this story is nicely thinky. :)

Holy shit this was so much better than I anticipated.

You have a real gift for battle scenes, which are difficult to pull off in a manner that’s exciting and believable. The political squabbles were well done. The growth in the main character as the story went along made it more rewarding to follow along. The sex was good. The slow seduction through the letters was tremendous.

I don’t often find this kind of skillful writing on this site. I’m glad the opportunity is there for everyone to contribute, but I’m particularly grateful when someone of your talents comes along. Ill say what I always say to newer writers I like. While you have to write for an audience, make sure you write for yourself first. You have a real talent. Don’t burn out because of a few malcontents. They’re always out there. You will have a lot of admiring fans. You’re too good not to focus on them, not on the inevitable critics. For my own selfishness, I hope you continue to find it rewarding to offer submissions. ~S
