I usually hate when writers break the fourth wall, but I get a kick out of it when you do it. I really love this series and thank you for the explanation in the intro.

I am worried that things will take a massive turn for the worst and you end up with a very bad life.

Of course at present I'm thinking: pregnancy, death or a straight out proposal?

Looking forward to chapter 8. I hope everything turns out for the best and I'm loving the romance. It seems almost kind of like either a fairy tale or a good afternoon weepy movie where adversity is overcome and the heroine ends up with a good life with her man (new or old).
