An entire world in miniature, in the brown cloak in the middle of the club. It read like a fairytale, aided rather than diminished by the change of cadence from another language into English. The recursion at the end with the older representatives was novel, and also prescient.

Thank you, Oneagainst, your polished words are like honey.

I unfortunately can't speak English and couldn't narrate any better than this. Yes, mine is just a fairy tale, a meaningless dream.

Thank you for accepting even this meagre contribution. For decades I have dreamed of suggesting an erotic interpretation of Carrol's text, which in my opinion, alludes to BDSM far more often than teachers at school believe.

Well done, Norway!

The storytelling technique was appropriate for your story and very much honored Carroll's. I liked the story, the circularity and the dream... it was Carroll rethought. Your point ref the double entendre of his writing is intriguing -- maybe I'll go back and read him with a more devious and enlightened eye :).

Bravo!

Thank you, Maddict and Flynn99, too kind. I'm just an idiot who doesn't speak English.

At school, the teachers put me in charge of keeping the library and lending books to the girls and boys. But, you know, boys only think about sports.... The girls always asked me if there were any 'erotic' books. But it was hard to find them at school. So I specialised in finding 'erotic' interpretations in everything.

Carroll, of course.

Hey, re-read Swift! A GIANT between Lilliputs (Milo Manara forbids...)? And then in a cage, to entertain the Giants? Oh, come on...

Yes, my mission in life, is to inspire people to re-read the classics with perverted eyes.

What an adorable Meet Cute, finding such a precocious treasure where one might least expect. The liberal insertion of Carroll's words was well employed, and kept the tone and theme centred and playfully dreamlike; brought circle by the denouement at the end. I echo oneagainst's thoughts that being translated elevates this aspect rather than detracts; well done.

Many thanks, DustofFallenStars and Anon., I was wondering if the adventures of these two "under the cloak" deserve a follow-up.

Outside the Club, of course.
