You captured the emotions well in this story, I loved it.
The characters are interesting but the idea that the problem has something to do with the fact that he is city folk is negated by the reiterated declaration that no one is good enough for his daughter, which is a dead-end proposition but
in the end he caved...
What a great story! I don't care how good a man is, his father in law will always have doubts, believe me. He at least decided to give the benefit of the doubt at the end.. I like how they decided to go for it no matter what. Thanks for a great story!
Well done Lynn. Fathers (some) have a hard time giving up their little girls. We all want the best for them. I can see this happening.
Thanks for being part of our Invitaional. You are a big asset to our small writers group.

My Father-in-Law reacted in much the same way when I started dating his daughter (who is now my wife) and was just as intractable. He warmed up to me later. Thanks for a great story and a touch of deja vu.
Thanks for being part of this invitational.

Sweet romantic story with well drawn out characters. Another job well done.
Again and again and again you leave teardrops on my face ...... So wonderful, thank you

No! You can't just leave us wondering what Seth did to get Erik's dad to the wedding. This is a love story, not a mystery story, lol. Got all five stars and more if they were allowed.
It was sad to note the few comments in the last 16 years for such great romantic story and the author's long dry spell.
At least there was hope for more 18 months ago. Guess we will see what we will see. The author deserves 4.7's am 4.8's.
