"You've been through a lot, haven't you?" She looked at him, her eyes meeting his and her heart pounded in her breast.

"I think it might be best if you go back to your room, and type up your notes, I have a long night ahead of me. A Colonel's work is never done."

"Yes, I have a lot to think about." Sarah smiled and stood up. The Colonel watched her leave the dining room, his eye lingering just a little too long on her shapely figure.
