Quietly he walked up to her, hugging her from behind. He whispered, 'I love you' as he nuzzled her neck. She smiled, letting him know she loved him also. The rest of the day was quiet until Samantha texted her mother to let her know she was on her way to visit.
When she arrived, the dogs greeted her as usual, wiggling and barking hello. Dave and Karen were relaxing on the deck, quietly talking about Lani. They stopped their discussion when Sam pulled up and parked. The future was uncertain in regards to Lani, and if they would let Samantha in on their new openness. For the time being, it would be a closely guarded secret.

Anonymousabout 1 year agoso Karen says it's her gain OR their gain(meaning husband aswell) while having her alone time with just her and Lani. ye sounds like Karen is more interested in other women than her husband/marriage.
