My ex-wife had a list of things she felt she was entitled to enjoy without risking a divorce. That list grew with each passing day. By the time I was made aware of her list, basically she felt that anything she could do with her husband in the marital bed, she could do with other men of her choosing. And, in fact, could do things with other men that she wouldn't do with her husband because her lover(s) told her not to give her husband equal rights in the bed. So, eventually it came down to only one thing. It was cheating only if she brought back an STD to her husband. If she got pregnant, it would have been my responsibility, as husband, to raise and financially support her bastard children. She did not even appear at the court on the day our marriage was terminated. Yes, there are women as stupid as Sharon in the real world.

The whole story was good, but the last line is a new classic.

In real life I would hope he just would just drove her home, when you have kids you need to do everything you can to stop the destruction. I believe that I would have gotten home sat her down, and explain to her that he would be contacting a lawyer as soon as possible to start the divorce if we don't start going to counseling. Explain to her that their marriage is in a very shaky foundation right now and dont understand what happened to her to think this was ok.

But as to the story well done. I just wish there was a follow up later, where they met later and he says to her, you never once apologized or shown any remorse. Kind of end things as what could have been.

Real life, years ago my ex left me for another man. My youngest son went into a life change decline at the age of 12. They knew she was a attention seeking cheater. It ruined his life. It still effects us all 30 years later. I would do anything to fix it. Wish I had taken her back when he dumped her, but I was too proud, and they suffered.

At last a story about a husband who is also a manage dealt with the situation promptly and thoroughly.Though why it mentioned several divorces I do not understand as all the couple's taking part were married to one another.

First, let me address the negative comments I've read. Granted this story may not be your "kind" of story I understand that. I've started reading some very highly rated stories and not make it through the first page. They were simply not my kind of story and no matter how well written they didn't hold my interest. But I didn't trash the story or the author, I simply didn't finish the story. This story was well written with a different and original approach. If you don't think that there are women out there that are this dizzy then you've lead a sheltered life. If a story holds my interest enough to read it through it gets four stars...and this one did.

Your plots are so boring for the most part. Husband catches wife, immediately starts divorce proceedings, then we're subjected to another 2-3 pages of boring dialogue on why he'll never take her back and the wife's unnecessary unburdening of the gory details of her sex with another man.

I gave it a 5, because it was predictable to a certain extent. That alone does merit a 5. The idea of getting the hubby's feelings written down does. It puts the reader into the hubby's shoes, and it worked. I cant say I would go along or object to the way things went, since I'm not the author.

There are so many ways to skin a cat, or do things, that one can usually come up with a way that would please everyone, if they put their mind to it, but usually don't. Perhaps if she had explored his fantasies, of course never discussed, maybe then she would have had a way, but that's just an excuse for her actions.

So how did she get back into the house with no key?

Why would there be a spate of divorces when all the others were willing participants?

I liked your story but I you punked at the end. Should have gone all the way and make those tapes public. My ex did essentially the same thing and I released the tapes. She didn't lose her job and only a few friends but she was humiliated beyond belief and madder than a wet hen! I lost some stuff but not much. Felt great to make her suffer. That was over 25 yrs ago and too this day she hasn't done well and is facing old age alone and hopefully eating cat food. I've done great. Happily married and retired well. Sweet revenge!

I give this three stars. I got bored after a while due to hubby saying the same thing over and over. Of course wifey was repetitive too, so it got tedious to read the whole story. This story is so convoluted. Are we to believe that a woman trying to get her husband back would describe in detail what she had done with the other guy? Not only was he bigger but he made love to her four times and went down on her twice during the night leaving her all sore by the time she got home? And then you used up the second page going telling her your reasons why she did wrong? Also, when that man called to try to get you back to the party. Didn't the husbands response ring a warning bell? Are we to believe that everybody at that party was so stupid that it never occured to them that maybe there was trouble brewing if they went ahead and paired his wife with somebody else? I think this writer not only thinks those people were idiots but also believes that the readers are so stupid they really believe something like this could happen.

Even so, I thought you tackled a common phenomenon - the key party - and focused on the human dimension, in the form of Frank and Sharon. Now a lot of these brave critics had issues with the over-the-top treatments of Sharon and Frank - that Sharon was dumber than a box of hammers, and as all good people know there are no crazy, entitled princesses out there in Realville. Of course there are, and some of them are even more stupid and ignorant than Sharon. Frank had a traditional perspective on marriage and what it demanded from each party. Many of your critics would have us all condemn Frank as a sexist dinosaur who needed to get with the times. Well I tell you, his philosophical position is one a great many of us readers, both male and female, would support fully.

Jesus, if monogamy and faithfulness are not your bag then don't get married in the first place. I mean what is the point of the ritual, if the parties to it are proclaiming undying love towards one another while secretly crossing their fingers at the same time. The phone mail messages she left were silly; you needed to use them for the divorce later on in the story, so you had her leave messages that included who she was sleeping with, how good he was, how many times they did it, where, how great it was, etc. All that from a wife who knew her husband was already enraged at what she was doing? She thought that info would help him calm down? Prove how insignificant it was to her?

You made the people at the party too stupid. In real life, cheated spouses do crazy things. Like pick up a gun and shoot at you, that kind of stupid. Who was that crazy astronaut chick that drove cross country to kill the woman sleeping with her husband? She wore adult diapers so she wouldn't even have to stop and pee? Yeah, there's no telling how a cheated spouse will respond, that's why swap parties have rules against non-couples participating. I see the biggest problem between these two as a complete lack of respect for Frank by Sharon. Also the whole group shared in this disrespect by accepting Sharon back despite Frank's obvious non-concurrence.

From what I have read almost every legitimate swinger group WOULD have respected (and feared!) any non-concurring SO - especially male - because of exactly this kind of revenge scenario. The simplest rule is not accept any wife under these circumstances.

The story was OK, but there could have been more development of why Sharon/Susan decided that she so needed to be with another man that she would choose to disregard her husband's threats. The dialogue was too repetitive and no one talks in these long paragraphs.

It seems surprising that wife would not have at some point said at least "I am sorry for the pain I caused you" because that would have been the most natural thing for one to say in this situation--even if not admitting that it was a mistake at least in retrospect. The lack of apology, and its exploration, made the story somewhat less than it could have been

The one social issue here is the three children. Children do best being nurtured in a home with both parents. If a husband had the best interests of the children, would husband not agree to forgive the wife one mistake (presuming it was a single mistake--she, after all, did not hide an affair from her husband)? Not great outcome either, but it is always the innocent that are hurt most.
