Click hereYou might think this is pretty fucked up, that there's no way you'd ever find yourself in my situation, that you're way too headstrong or whatever to have yielded like I did. You know what? If that's your attitude, save it to tell someone else who gives a fuck. I hear there are helplines. Or, better still, leave a message in the customer comments box and I'll get back to you on that.
Why don't we take a look at you instead? How about you ask yourself why you got to the end of this, what was it in all of this that made you want to know how it finished? Did you want me to be saved, to come to my senses? Or did you want me to succumb, did you want to find out if I died, you sick fuck? Were you interested in my happiness, or did you just want to see how far I'd fall?
Am I really the only twisted one here?
I told him that I've been writing everything down. If I get out of this box, if he chooses to free me and save me for another day, I'm going to publish it somewhere for people to read. What he doesn't know is that I've also set it to publish automatically a year from now, after a timer ticks down on a server I set up. Each day I reset it, postponing the inevitable for another twelve months.
There once was a girl who got caught on her knees at the end of the world, with a gun in her mouth. If you're reading this, you know that he showed me mercy and freed me.
Or, if you're reading this, then you know I'm gone.
As planned.

[While this is the end of this story, there are questions left unanswered: who are Covalent's employers? Who was the girl in the picture? These will be revealed in Only Consenting Adults.
As Chloe says, please leave your thoughts in the comments box. Maybe she'll get back to you after all, who knows?

Great story, as well as the arc.
Small item that occurred to me at the hair salon yesterday: Raven’s head had been shaved before the fires, but 6 months later has hair to her shoulders. My stylist said that hair generally grows at about 13 mm (0.5 in) a month, and hair needs to be at least 5 cm (2 in) before hair extensions can be installed.
Looking forward the the next arc!
@anon - thanks for the comments and for sticking with the journey despite it not being your kink! I wanted to tell a bit of a different story to the usual: a love story between monsters. She did change him in the end, from detached sociopath into something she wanted him to be, starting the moment she took the decision to go down the little path by the lake. She changed both their lives that day, but unknowingly, also the lives of millions more as that one tiny act ripples forward into the next story. A butterfly beats its wings and....
Like qxvw198, I'm glad Raven wasn't given the kind of giant, impractical breast implants common in this genre. I suspect it would be in her future along with a bald head and other more extreme body modifications. Who's going to stop Covalent? Who's going to tell him about the back pain and body sores or any of the other irl unpleasantries his changes would cause?
I really wanted Chloe to get the jump on him one morning, tie him up, shave him all over, stick him in the pit for a few days, and then start altering him, inside & out.

I gave it 5 stars because it's well written. I didn't like the story, didn't like the characters, and didn't really understand them or how Chloe could be happy like that. I also didn't like the ending, but, as the narration indicated, it's better than the alternatives, I guess?
My negative opinions are because I wasn't comfortable with or into the topics, tropes & kinks, not because the story is deficient. I really, really don't get why Chloe wants/needs this. Maybe that's the legitimate ding on the story- that it didn't get me understanding them or their desires. I wish it'd had something more that would have helped, although to be fair, that's a pretty steep hill to climb.
I appreciated more than enjoyed it. This shouldn't be seen as a negative assessment. Nice story, oneagainst.

One against, you did it again... A really compelling story arc. To be honest, I almost didn't qualify as one of the "twisted" who finished... Chloe's despair nearly drive me to abandon her. So well written and worth the ride to get to the uncompromising, difficult end. Challenging story.
Thanks for the great work.
