The Secrecy is Dumb

The "sentence reductions for work" idea is a very solid one, but the secrecy thing is plain idiotic. Stuff always leaks, especially something so far out field and involving so many non-professionals. It's one thing to have a team of trained, elite agents keep quiet about what they've worked on. It's another thing entirely for a bunch of prisoners and run-of-the-mill prison guards to all keep quiet indefinitely. There's no reason you couldn't have just written this as a future where people's values were different and this practice was accepted by society. Good execution though. 4/5

eh, I don't like the idea of a different values society because then the entire situation isn't really as degrading to the characters. Yeah, stuff like this gets leaked eventually... that's intended to become a plot point later on, I just need to have time to write it at some point.
