You really need a proofreader

While the story is excellent and generally well-told, the constant wrong words - "wish" for "wife" {only happens once or twice}, "my" for "me" {happens every time, so far as i recall} and so on - really jar.

I'm sure someone would volunteer to proofread for you if you asked.
