It was a good story. I think Blake's question at the end came out of nowhere, and I would like to have some background for it. It almost seems like he was deliberately destroying the relationship.

Great start, and an interesting premise

But the ending was weak, far weaker than I expect of you.

The potential tensions between societies norms and expectations, his expectations,and hers, and their friends and family are wide and manifold.

This could be a lot of fun or very tense; suppose his friends tell him to leave her and he does. What are their feelings? Think of the problems an interracial couple goes through and map these troubles to Blake and Rowena’s situation
