Well, so much for no permanent damage. If he is going to be whipped and beaten often something is going to happen to his body. There is no mention of blood this time but the bruising and welts will surely scar his mind. This is only the first day and already hypothermia is possible. Frostbite is quite dangerous if left untreated. It will be interesting to see how long this story series will last.
