Careful your bigotry is showing through, but both the people in this story were white. Thurgood is a German first name. However, Thurgood Marshal was a famous black Supreme Court Justice. But he wasn't in this story, and the character she has the affair with is white. Race wasn't mentioned other than Thurgood's reference to the man sitting beside Anna on the bus. Interesting, absent any mention of race, your mind made the man black.

There is no indication she withheld sexual favors from her husband, and since I created her, I know this isn’t the case.
