Two weeks before Christmas, I came home from the garage, to find two of my roommates at the kitchen table. Rose was holding Laurie's hand.
They looked so serious - as if someone had died. I was about to say something stupid, then changed my mind at the last second.
- "What happened?" I asked.
Rose looked up at me. "Ronnie moved out." she said.
- "What?"
Laurie seemed to finally realize that I was there.
- "Hey, Joe. Your cousin left me. He moved in with another girl."

HectorBidonalmost 6 years agoReally enjoyed your story. It's not a story about sex, it's a story about people in which sex plays a role. Each of your characters is well drawn and recognizable. Sam is the most intriguing. You've let us see her loveliness, but also her shortcomings. You've let us see how happy the narrator is with her, but also how incomplete. What should he do? He can't just abandon her, but he does them both a disservice by staying with her.
