Anonymousover 2 years agoOne small annoyance. If the plants are mutating to eliminate "defective" genes that doesn't lead to better crop yields. Evolution is not a step ladder, with each new generation being better than the last. The way it works is that every mutation has trade offs. A new gene sequence might make a plant grow better in cooler climates, but it might do so by needing more water. We are not really all that more complex than the dinosaurs. The only difference is that humans evolved to fill one nitch, and dinosaurs another.
Still a good story overall, I hope you keep improving it.
