One minor detail, you have switched between calling the deputy Officer Clark and Carter in this one. Other than that great story!
This is a lovely story but I have to say, my favorite part so far is Ann's story. Lovely.
I have Sleep Apnoea, it means I stop breathing in my sleep. Everyone does to some extent I just do it more frequently. When asleep you stop breathing the lack of oxygen causes a reaction in the brain and wakes you up, in doing this most people with sleep apnoea take a sudden breath in and snore.
For a lot of people it’s related to being overweight, for others like me it’s not. According to my specialist I have “an unfortunate shaped neck” - great huh 🙄 To combat the SA I wear an oxygen mask and the machine I use forces air down my throat keeping my airways open. It lets me get a decent 5 hours sleep per night on average, a very unsexy Darth Vader look too. I still have sleep issues, sleep paralysis (when you know you’re asleep and want to wake up but can’t - most people get that with nightmares) and micro sleeping
(thats when you fall asleep for a very brief time; seconds or minutes but it feels like hours, then the process repeats! It makes it feel like a very long day)
So I’d fail the sleep training, hopefully there’d by a work around.
