At least if you were going to go that route, you should have had her hearing that, but thinking it was just play acting. Something along the lines of, "Daddy? Nah, couldn't be." And then when it turns out it is, her reaction could have been something like, "Omigod, it was?"

Good possibilities in this story. Is she jealous of her twin 'cause daddy picked her sister? Are they going to pull the old twin swiitcheroo on dear old dad? I guess we'll have to wait and see incest fans.
