Shane has dished it back, but I think it is time for Shane and Donovan to bury the hatchet, make some magnificent love, and push “Restart”. You know, what goes around, comes around. Donovan is there. You are being way too sensitive there. The guy wasn't even being transphobic, he praised the transition. I'm sure he bailed out because of the, I don't know, STD story Shane made up?

But apparently not wanting STD is definitely transphobic, I guess.

I have to agree with the anon from 3 years ago. I am a trans person and this chapter was pretty disheartening to read. It made it hard to get back into the story. Telling people that a character is trans in order to make that character completely undesirable is absolutely transphobic. It's saying that a guy being trans makes him completely unattractive and no one would want to hit on him or take him home.

It's great that the guy at the bar was later supportive of the transition, but yeah, equating being trans with being undesirable and off-putting is definitely not fun to read about.

Thankfully most of the gay cis men I know wouldn't even bat an eye if they found out a hot guy was trans. They'd still want to hook up with him either way. So if you're also trans and reading this, don't let it get you discouraged :)
