I like the way you do that, portraying your characters as ordinary rational people doing their jobs. One of the things that happens in the genre is you see too many stories in which the slavers are depicted as mono-dimensional sadists which makes the story much less interesting.

Carl Bradford answers the question left unanswered in many tales about voluntary enslavement. Willow McDonald works at the biggest auction house in Texas as a wrangler a person who wields a baton to keep slaves in line during in - processing and reduction to servitude. She knows what can happen if you break the rules and play slave. She has done it before.
