The scene with the Grandma should have been handled more sensitively. I applaud that they were honest and upfront and that Tom seemed proud and confident in his feelings for Billy. But this woman is a grieving mother who is now facing the reality that her gay son and her straight son-in-law (her deceased daughter’s widower) are in love and together raising her granddaughter. There should have been more conversation, asking how she feels about it, allowing her to ask questions and adjust to it. Instead they just dropped it like a bomb and left her shocked and reeling.
NICE! So, just who doesn't like they lived happy ever after. A really sweet and enjoyable story to read. Even a jaded cold hearted dried up old bastard like me can be moved by a story like this. Thanks. MLF
